Persona 1 and 2 are significantly different beasts than 3 and 4 and the upcoming 5. They're fun, but they're oldschool, have unforgiving amounts of random encounters, and are cryptic as fuck with a lot of their bullshit like getting certain party members or getting specific better Personae.
3 and 4 are more slice-of-life with tied in dungeon crawling. I'd recommend 3 then 4, but to be honest 4 is the superior game on a standalone basis - The combat is slicker and you've got more control over how it plays due to being able to properly control your party members.
The great debate of what *version* of each to play is a lot harder. Original P3 for the PS2 has gotten several updates, but whether FES - Which has some new stuff and a (kinda shitty) extra dungeon at the end of the game, or P3P, the PSP version that included the option to play a female character, has a lot of the gameplay updates that P4 has, but skips over some content like some of the voice acting and getting to wander around the town has been replaced with picking the spots out of a menu with backgrounds of the area. Meanwhile, Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden is basically just adding in more content in the Vita version, but I've heard a lot of people didn't like the changes in the musical score, especially the battle themes.
I'd recommend P3P and Persona 4. If you play p4 first, expect to be a little frustrated with Persona 3's combat when you step back to it

Just Overwatch and I picked up Vanquish over the weekend. Well I've had it for a few weeks now, I just popped it in to the PS3. What an amazing first hour. It gave me that same feeling I had when I first played Bayonetta, that pure joy that I received when I played video games as a kid. It made me think "this is what gaming is all about" all over again. The insanely fast movement, the powerful weapons, the melee attacks just feel so amazing. It took me about half an hour to beat the first boss though, that may be because I'm retarded and ran out of ammo halfway through but still what a fucking blast that game is. And the campy story, cheesy dialogue, and the protagonist are just icing on the cake. Plus your superior has the voice of Tank Dempsey from Black ops zombies, which I love his meathead voice and witty one liners. I can't wait to play more of it.

It's shit. The gameplay is arse (because dropping not chaff grenades and waiting for enemy patrol routes is SO FUCKING GOOD, GUYS). it looks like arse, every ounce of the backstory is deliberately obfuscated for the sake of being obfuscated. Even the sound design isn't that great, the static of the zombies gets fucking annoying and you'll get your Silent Hill panic tunes when NOTHING is happening.
Made by a SIlent Hill 2 fan who didn't understand why the game was good. Nice music though, made by a dude who did some Hotline Miami tunes after all.

Childish, but maybe they were going for nostalgia. One of the tracks had what sounded like the FFVI violin sound in the background. I finished the second dungeon yesterday, and it was satisfying, but Zidane was low on HP and the save moogle is frozen until you beat the boss, so I got stuck. I used one of the cheats to pass it, unless the game gives you trance when you die too many times. The rules of Tetra Master are unclear to me. Someone onGameFAQs[s/poiler] said he's been playing FFIX for years and the rules have never made sense.

I die after a handful of bullets. I forgot what difficulty it's on, but maybe they expect you to be tactical. I like how you can give your team orders. It breaks it up from being Gears of War. Whenever I hear Nolan North I hear Nathan Drake, and nobody else. I guess the white phosphorous part was supposed to trigger me, but I thought it was underwhelming, however I do like the idea of having moral choices in an action game. The emotions I think I'm supposed to feel are absent, but the credits have yet to roll, so we'll see what happens.

Extreme Warfare Revenge, a wrestling booking sim. I've been rebooking 2002-2003 RAW and Smackdown.
Bit of League and WoW. Haven't been able to really game in a long time so I took it easy on myself and just fucked around for a bit before doing anything serious. Managed to do pretty well with Olaf a few minutes ago and we won so hard our team just kinda dicked around in their base before we got bored enough to end it.
Playing this for the first time in nine years and I've managed to remember where most things are. About to start the Meta Ridley fight and am missing 1 energy tank, 20 missile expansions, and 1 power bomb expansion. I think the first and last are in the Impact Crater. God knows how many scans I still need.
Also, it keeps crashing randomly in Chozo Ruins. Everywhere else is fine, only Chozo Ruins.

I've been playing Enter the Gungeon an awful lot. It's very addictive. Just got the 6 key 300 casing requirement done. Had to try that multiple times. Once I was off by 3 casings. Really got me steamed.
The only guy's past I've beat is the Marine's though. Oh, but I just encountered an orange ripped straight from God Hand. The game is pixel artstyle, but the item showed up as the 3D polygonal model. Only one I've seen do that. Really nice touch.

I realized this years ago when I was a officer in my guild. The level of micromanagement involved was crazy for a position that paid nothing (maintaining guild resources, looking at guild applications, evaluating recruits, etc.)

If you ever end up finishing the campaign, go for the most expensive pilot you can get right away. Might be rough at first because they also get the most difficult enemies, but they also give you the highest money multipliers.

Mostly DMC4SE. A lot of the better players didn't seem to enjoy playing as Lady or Trish particularly much since they're kind of limited and I get that, but as a more casual fan who can't tap into Dante's potential at all I'm having fun with them. Also been playing the PS4 remaster of VC and weeping over the wasted potential of the series.

If you can stomach it play:
Silent Assassin -> Contracts -> Blood Money -> Hitman 2016.
The first one is really badly dated and the best levels are remade in Contracts. Absolution isn't a bad game, but it isn't a Hitman game, only in name.
If you aren't sure you will like the games start with Blood Money, it's the best one although the new one might be easier to get into.

The new one is the easiest yet. in terms of difficulty it goes (from easiest to hardest):
Hitman 2016 -> Blood Money -> Silent Assassin -> Contracts
The difficulty is what I love about the series. I've always played on SA, where you have no saves in a mission so if you die you have to restart. It's one of the few games that has actually gotten my heart beating while playing, it is so tense knowing if you fuck up you either have to contain the situation and clean up or you get royally fucked.

Been playing through Bravely Default. My set-up so far is:
Tiz: Thief/Freelancer with Dual Shields and Slow and Steady for Godspeed Strike + Mimic silliness.
Agnes: Spiritmaster/White Mage. She makes an excellent healer/buffer.
Ringabel: Arcanist/Black Mage. I've also got him running Vampire (managed to get it in Chapter 4 with Stillness shenanigans) so I can get my Genomes. The Pierce M. Defense is fucking fantastic, by the way.
Edea: Pirate/Swordmaster. You can't go wrong with Free Lunch + Amped Strike.
