W10 adoption rate was horrendous, even for a hated OS.

Fact is the majority of Microsofts business is businesses and they dont give a fuck about upgrading, they can run off older OS forever if they have to. W10 failed to grab that market.

They'll have to switch back to normal releases and make a better OS system if they want to recapture that market.
>>
>>339778295

You can parrot memes, but it's pretty meaningless unless you back it up. I won't play that game.

I think that enough people wouldn't play that game to the point where requiring your OS to be windows 10 would knock out a significant portion of your cashpile.

In the interim, Microsoft will get their head out of their ass and Windows 11 will not gather local information from my computer. Unless, of course, they are being forced to by a government entity.

In the event that they do not get their heads out of their asses and act in a sinister fashion, I will wait for a third party to appear who will not snoop on my shit for the gubment, allow my games to run on it and requires me to labor over figuring out how to use linux.

It's sending telemetry about how you use the operating system so Microsoft can improve it. It's depersonalised so completely anonymous, and basically all mobile apps and websites do it already whether you realise it or not. Most of the anger about Windows 10 is founded in ignorance of how modern software actually works. Ultimately Microsoft aren't invading your privacy to sell you anything or just to be dicks, they're doing it to make the software less shit.
