Zero was a fun game that I enjoyed much. Guard is also pretty fun too, despite being tied loosely to the Star Fox universe. Both games left me wanting more and excited to see more for the universe, which is something that SF64 did also.
Star Fox Zero reminded me of a remake of an old Saturday morning cartoon series. It was cool to elements from across the series in a new game. And the final boss against Andross was expected to go how it did but it was awesome to do it in a new way.
I've always liked Star Fox and it was great to see him in an arwing again. Zero's end feels wide open for a sequel a la Star Fox 2 but if the series is going to go on a long hiatus, then I'm glad it goes out with a game like Zero.

Granted, it wouldn't fix all the things in that image up there, but all Nintendo has to do to make those copies move off the shelves is release a patch that enables traditional controls with an accurate reticle and the camera pans faster and further left and right if you jam on the stick, as well as add a multiplayer mode (just straight rip SF643D).
Hopefully that'd patch things up with the players and retailers.

I purchased Star Fox Zero, and I finished it 100%. There's really nothing left to do once you've completed to game. I think this game would've did a lot better if it:
- Had a brand new story/campaign (a continuation of Assault)
- Added new characters/villains (also, bring back Miyu & Fay)
- Motion controls not being mandatory
- An online multiplayer mode. (this Fucking game is about dogfights and whatnot. online battle modes give games more life, just look at fucking Splatoon)
