I realise you're supposed to wait until the enemy team is already engaged and distracted but most of the time you only get enough time to kill 1-2 people and get yourself murdered in the process.

It really is. Even without boosting the health of your sentry, it enables you to run up and 1v1 anybody and even kill groups of enemies all by yourself
If you know how to sneak around as Reaper his ult can be devastating.
I have never gotten as close with any other class in getting team kills as I do with Reaper.
Pharahs ult just seems to do not damage when I use it. Yet when someone else uses it, it one shots Roadhogs.
lucio's ult is pretty good

grouping up just to use lucios ult is not that good of an idea, it really doesn't last long to make it worthwhile. It's best if you use it to save people from enemy ults, stop your tank from dying or buff teammates who are using ults and are under fire.

Genji's ult since the only way to reliably kill anyone with it is if they are brain dead and you get behind them. Also it seriously needs to shorten the cooldown on his dash for the duration of it, it's so easy to counter it by just backpedaling away once he uses his dash.

It is. I play on PS4 and Pharahs are powerful as hell and usually get at least 3 kills with her ultimate. Yeah you can still shoot out but most of the time it's at the very end of the cast and the damage is already done.

Well in Anubis I knocked them into the funnel they mainly use for exiting the spawn on the last point, and it got them all off. I don't see why you can't use it a lot like winstons ult, it especially helps if you have a mercy on you or Lucio ult up at the same time.
