Zelda has never had this much attention at an E3. Every year, they are always thrown in at the end, much as an afterthought. Yet Nintendo has more game room space than Microsoft this year and almost as much as Sony. All for what? Zelda U and Sun and Moon?

and anyway, that would be one of the least interesting things they could do with the series. so it's probably true. something tells me they don't really give much of a fuck about this series anymore.
Reminder that Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon has multiplayer but things like Kirby Triple Deluxe, New Super Mario bros, 3D world, Hyrule Warriors and Legends don't.

No, I mean multiplayer as in go online and play with others, Luigi's Mansion is the only game that does this and I find it odd especially when Triple Deluxe and Robo bot have pretty cool sub game modes that would work well online. Is there any real reason these Mario games don't have online play?

Well yeah, Luigi was just a little side mode taking place in small unpopulated rooms, which was designed for multiplayer. The other games (besides Kirby and Legends) let you play the entire main game cooperatively.
You have a point with Kirby, especially with the sub games being sold separately. But those other games just include it as a bonus so you don't have to play alone. They're not dedicated multiplayer modes, just an option to play together.

Fair point. Just feels a little upsetting its mostly restricted to local or download play. Especially Robo Bot's RPG game mode.
