You don't know how to play Mercy well if you think she isn't the best healer and all-around support in the game.
She has insanely good single-target heal she can spread around very quickly thanks to her shift to heal up a team faster than Lucio can, and unlike Lucio, she can outheal damage.
Only thing Lucio has is the fact he can attack while healing and the speed boost is nice. Otherwise, Mercy is more mobile, heals more and excels in both attack and defense equally.

Mercy is good, just not Lucio level. I watched some pro games recently and some are even running 2 Lucio on control maps because of how good he is. His ability to do quite decent damage is just icing on the cake when you consider what else he brings to the table.

I don't think Lucio is significantly better than Mercy. If the Mercy is playing smart and primarily damage boosting, your team should be laying out the opposition.

And Zeny would be as strong as Mercy or Lucio if they would just let him shoot harmony orbs through walls. You can see your teammates through walls, it would be piss easy to shoot them a orb and top them off through walls as well.

I won't deny that zeny is a beast at putting out damage. But teams need healers too. Particularly healers that can stay alive longer than .25 seconds.
While Zeny's discord drastically up damage on an opponent, Mercy's damage increase works against all incoming attackers. A boosted Bastion can take down Reinharts shield in a single burst. A boosted Pharah can actually kill people with her rockets, not just play bumper cars with them.
If they made Zeny just a little more mobile, and let him shoot harmony orbs through walls I'd pick him just as often as I pick Lucio or Mercy. Which is like every other round.

I've gotten it twice just by knocking people off the cliff in Liajang tower. In the area where it's like a wooden temple in an urban area, there's a side entrance next to cliffs, and you can camp or check there, anytime someone comes through the door just blast them back.

I got Young Hanzo and Young Genji (or whatever that one is called) which are some of the ugliest skins in the game, and a fucking Junkrat one. I don't even play any of those heroes. RNG a shit.
I currently have ~50 hours on Lucio and i wish he had a different deign, the slapshot hockey skin improves his look but i still thing he could be better.

If people complain they're not getting healed enough, just tell them to quit running away from you because they're dumb for doing so. It's funny, during open beta and for the first few days after release, no one gave Lucio all that much attention. I could skate around pushing people off the map with relatively little animosity. During the same time, if I picked Mercy people would come clear across the map to kill me. Every sniper, every ambusher, every tank wanted Mercy dead.
Now it's about even. Everyone sees a Lucio and they know they have to kill him. The difference is that Lucio doesn't die instantly like Mercy or Zeny. Lucio can self heal, and Lucio has mobility to escape.
Mercy's escape is weak, it relies on a teammate being around, but not actually close, and only really helps her escape if they're up high. Zeny has no escape, if he gets pursued, his only escape is his DPS which has to beat out the enemy's attack against his tiny HP bar.
I hope they don't nerf Lucio. He's actually very killable and his attacks aren't very dangerous. But the other two, particularly Zeny, needs some sort of buff to be viable in pubs.

But in pub play it's brutal. Mercy's survivability is the team. Lucio's and Zeny's survivability is the player. And in a pub match, relying on your team is often painful.
While a buff to Mercy to help her rely on the team slightly less would make her more fun in pubs it would probably lead to other nerfs down the line.
