How come the /v/ community for this game is pretty much dead at this point? There is a small core of maybe 10-20 people who keep posting their levels in the occasional threads AND who bother to play the some of levels posted. Many others simply only try to get plays and stars but don't play other people's levels.

I'm pretty certain the /v/ shill 'n' chill threads died since too few were playing the levels, they enjoyed shilling their own too much. I had been keeping up with the threads since early on and the actual level discussion and plays was gradually lowering since the start.
/v/ is just too lazy to play vidya.

Generally speaking? /v/ burns out on games fast and there hasn't been a content update to get the majority hyped and invested over.
Personally, as someone who contributed to them regularly? I hit a creative slump and still have a ton of backed up stages to play. Whenever I see one I try to pitch in and offer feedback, and I'm pretty sure that most if not all of the /v/ community has played the few levels I've posted.

I'm kind of lucky in this regard. A couple of nice anons played and starred a lot of my levels. And I made sure to do the same, especially if someone was obviously new the game. But it bothers me too if you go to the lengths of playing nearly a dozen of someone's levels and even give feeback but they just play one of yours, if that at all.

I was actually thinking about starting to particpate there but I once visited the page and tsaw that many people write short plots for their levels and such. This is too much autism for me too handle.

yeah I really don't like the sub either, which is why I gave caution. The quality of levels there is generally a lot lower than those I've found on /v/, but it's still a very active community and I'm not aware of any other place to find decent levels since the chill 'n' shill threads basically died.

I might start looking for levels there if /v/'s threads don't start to attract more people again soon. They even have a thread up now for new makers with under 250 stars, where people can submit one level and are encouraged to play through everbody else's stages. This might be fun and get you some plays and stars too.
