Just just finished my 3rd play through last week and it's honestly not very good but had hella TECHNOLGY for when it came out with the physics stuff and being able to see levels from other levels, also it had a cool setting and atmosphere. But besides that it is indeed pretty meh.

You go to a city, shoot baddies, and move on
While Jak took a huge turn with Jak 2, Jak 2 and Jak 3 at least we doing different things
You go to new places
You get new upgrades to your guns
You get knew powers
Jak and Daxter had the platforming and adventure
Jak 2 had the missions, the city, and the guns
Jak 3 had the wasteland, the lore being relevent, and the new goodies that were new and cool
