Why are people butthurt about Resident Evil now?
I just play RE5,6 and Revelations 2 and these are some of the most fun games I've ever played with possibly the greatest Co Op ever.
I'm really looking forward to Umbrella Corps now.
Because Resident Evil now is not Resident Evil then
I don't usually shit on fan bases, as I believe people should be passionate about whatever they want, but RE fans are just awful. They don't want the games to change, retroactively defend the writing which was always shitty, and now hold the series back with their constant whining and complaining.

Resident Evil 1-3 were super duper shitty games that people romanticize because they were their first survival horror games. The controls were shit, the camera angles were shit, the story was shit, and the entire experience was just garbage.
Resident Evil 4 introduced a fundamental change to the formula by fixing a lot of the control issues, the camera angle issues, and what not and it was well received but people felt it wasn't survival horror anymore and more of an action game with horror elements. Its like they don't remember playing as a big piece of tofu or slinging out rockets and shit from the previous titles.
Resident Evil 4 onward are pretty much Resident Evil without the garbage camera angles.
That said, other games have done the action horror hybrid better. The first Dead Space did it way better. Other games have done pure horror better.
The Resident Evil series could stop making games and I would be fine with that.
