if you are around ~22 years old, you will on average experience 13 console releases before you die, if you live in a developed country
I live in a third-world shithole and we get all the new consoles on time, though actually affording them is another matter
how do you figure?

At this rate we will have 13 console generations before we die
me visage when i am exactly 22 years old
If you are 22 years old you probably don't care

You're assuming consoles survive that long, generations stay the same length they've traditionally been or don't undergo a huge makeover.
Dedicated game consoles probably won't exist when I'm 80.
Started in the Sega genesis/SNES era
Still going strong currently with my PS4. Having just as much fun as I did in the other gens.

let's say you are 20 years old and live to 100 years, 100-20 = 80. If a new console is released every 6 or so years, we get 80/6=13,33, repeating, of course.

disregard trip*

how old are you? Same gens for me, but I think I'm going to skip this one for pc only

25.

Nice collection of ps2 games, you should probably get The Warriors if you haven't played it yet
does the ouya count?
>22yo
>born in a third world country
>started playing games in the seventh gen
>my backlog has over 300 games on it
>I just lurk in threads about old games and read all the anons' fond memories with them
I live in a developing country, so I'll just die. Thanks, OP.
