I own both games, Witcher 3 is a lot less fun. It's mostly listening to dialog and choosing sarcastic responses. It's overall an enjoyable experience but has no replay value because the core of the game is not very fun.
Literally anyone could play through TW3 on the lower difficulties, whereas people who play games for a living couldn't get past the first area in BB. That makes a difference in review scores, don't you think?

I agree with you about the replay value. I think the core gameplay is *just* engaging enough to not feel like a chore, but not quite good enough to make me want to play through the game again, unlike a game like Bloodborne or Mass Effect.

My feeling exactly, I own both of the expansions for Witcher 3 and I definitely like the game, it's just the combat itself is not fun and the more vertical nature of Touissant reminded me of how shitty controlling Geralt can be.
