I tried the game without english patch and got stuck fast, a crappy but pretty version of MH - sadly I'd prefer if it was actually localized and I could play it as a real MMO.
Gimped Monhun combat is still way better than any other MMO combat.

It is shitty MH. Tried it out with a friend some odd months ago. They gate you hardcore behind quest limits and shit. Every single quest is TALK TO X NPC a shit ton after everything. Farm got fucked. Gear selection got fucked. Weird ass hunt unlocking order gated by shit ass quests. Completely gate your moves behind bullshit leveling and tokens or whatever. Can't even use full moveset of weapons until later.
Really pretty though.

Here's my two cent on this MMO:
- Two week grind before unlocking HR
- Movements are similar to original MH, except there is no sluggish movements (you can turn around way quicker than MH main series along with few melee animations) which is difficult to swallow for most players
- Monster behaviors are a little retarded, for example if a wounded Monoblos tries to get away from you, but you manage to stagger/trip it again, Monoblos will stay in the area rather than continue to flee
- Most traditional weapons are in the game, the one downside I did not like was the easy usage of the GS (unlimited charge time so you don't even have to learn to the GS charges)
- Graphics are pretty damn neat, probably the only reason what kept me going all the way to G-Ranks.

- Game starts at first pretty bare minimum and limited, but once you have reached level 40 and doing HRs, the game starts to get easier on obtaining 'tokens' to do more hunts than the usual 5 hunts only per day; this is without being some dumb premium player.
- There is no p2w as one would think, the market is really just cosmetics that disappear after 360 days or so, premium players do get extra tokens to do more hunts though, but any regular player can easily get the same amount of tokens by purchasing three per day (in fact, the guild leader for the english-group was not premium player and still managed to be able to hunt 30+ per day if needed).
