It's tricky. You could put his fan on cooldown and he'd still be able to close quarters a lot of the heroes in a 1v1, but only do moderate damage to tanks. Takes away his role as a problem for tanks but still, at this point I'd be fine with it if it means I get to play him in peace.
That or maybe making his flashbang a direct hit, I dunno.

No excuse; there should've been more content for the price point. If it were any company besides blizzard, it would be understandable. Blizzard had the time and money. I'm sure they held back content to release as an xpac or dlc. Fits modern blizz practices.

My main problem with Overwatch is that it disappoints me. For a game that tries to compete with other games like TF2, they blew it in many ways.
There are 4 things during the open beta that made me lose interest in this game. Lack of custom maps, lack of private/custom servers, lack of gamemodes, and the fact that each game can only hold a maximum of 12 people (I am aware that it's their decision for this one but it was a bad decision if you ask me).
What made TF2 enjoyable for me is that it fixes the things that I complained earlier. It supports custom maps, it gives people the freedom to make their own servers, it gives more gamemodes like CTF and the whole carnival event, and it gives the players the control to adjust how many players per game.
If Overwatch wants me to give my cash to them, they should serve me better or at least somewhat equal to what TF2 is giving to me. And they are charging me $40-60. That's too much. Even TF2 costs like $15-20 on release and they still give me a good time as compared to Overwatch.
Aside from what I have mentioned earlier, there are still some problems, big and small, that I have observed that gives me some poor feedbacks.
-The map design in Overwatch isn't that good. I observed that almost every map has like one exit from the base and each one of them feels narrow and too linear.
-The characters are not that memorable outside from their appearance. They don't have that many interactions between each character and the environment and their lines, especially on the command/voice line, are forgettable. They look colorful outside but they are soulless and empty as fuck on the inside.The characters in TF2 and LoL are more memorable and lovable than the characters in Overwatch.
-The OST is bland.
-Gun sound effects are bad.
I know this is Blizzard's first time trying the FPS genre but if Naughty Dog can make a racing game for the first time and succeed, why not Blizzard?

The characters in TF2 interacts with each other very well. You don't have to make the characters say something related to their lore. A simple yet memorable quotes are enough to keep people entertained.
Also, what's wrong with the fact that there's like one black dude and the rest are white? A good game with good characters doesn't need to have a diverse list of casts you know. Good characteristics is the only thing that matters, not the fact that there's an Asian or something like that. I'm fucking Asian myself and I'm fine with the fact that there's no Asian in TF2. Because I don't give a shit about it.

I wanted to play this for the cute D. Va but I can't justify the price tag.
Seriously $60 and no campaign mode? Only 2 multiplayer modes? Unreal 2004 launched with like 20 different modes and managed to make a decent campaign with the AI.
Apart from that it's just designed pooly. Too many characters just have some high-middle firing speed hit scan weapon, wheres all the cool stuff? Only one weapon per character?
Cooldown style ultimates are there to help bad players. Most of them seem to do some big attack that if not completly unavoidable in many situations basically forces you to leave combat and give the enemy full control over the zone until the ability ends.

Have you dominated someone that badly? If not, then those taunts will occur if you do dominate them. If you did, it could be that the taunt didn't trigger because you we're under heavy fire or something.
Also, there's still other things/lines outside from the taunts that made them memorable.
As for their appearance, I find it to be different if you ask me. All of them looks very different in my eyes. You can analyze them in many ways (outside from the weapons they use) and quickly like how their silhouette looks like, what's their body type, their clothes, and their (default) hats. Pretty basic yet effective stuff if you ask me.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I find the character's personality in TF2 to be more open or something like that. The way they mention somethings, like when they do basic stuff like pushing a cart or using a teleporter, feels lively and shows their personality much better when compared to Overwatch.

I had never played a single Blizzard game before trying the Overwatch beta, but I really enjoyed it. I decided to pre order the game after hearing that all future DLC would be free, the difference between this game and so many other FPS failures such as SW; Battlefront, is that we aren't having to pay $110 for the whole experience, just one transaction for the whole package. I'm loving the game, I don't think its unbalanced, it's about learning how to properly counter a certain hero and adapting to your surroundings. But sure, keep shitting on a perfectly fine game because of its non-existent SJW agenda

Imma assume you haven't played TF2 much, because people that get into it learn the characters pretty well. It's subtle for the most part, but that's part of why it's good characterisation - their appearance isn't what defines their character. Compare that to Overwatch where you can see every aspect of a character's personality from what they look like. The dwarf is grumpy and stoic, the music guy is upbeat, the ice girl is a bit shy, but perky etc.
Don't get me wrong Overwatch's character designs are very good and it's to their credit that you can see their characters in their aesthetic, but it does make the characters very shallow as a result.

This way, he will still have the strong 1v1 capability he has, but is forced to think and conserve his cooldowns. My main problem with it is that it's designed for casuals. Anyone with low skill can jump in, die five times, and finally use an ultimate, then the round is over. But at least little Timmy took out three people with his wallhack dragon, so he is satisfied. The fact that it will always be fast paced will never change and that poisons everything.
I'd play it on vita or 3ds, but this is not a game for a home console/pc.

The game is well balanced, it almost seems like they have taken the most bullshit overpowered stuff and given them to different characters. McCree is a good example: what is the most bullshit overpowered thing someone with a deagle could have when playing cs? Aimbot. Not really, OW manages to take aspects of other games and make it ten times worse. Case and point would be stuns, which are more easy setups than actual skill based dm. Since most of the DM is wrapped around skills instead of aiming and positioning. Theees a reason most of the tf2 plats dropped the game. The problem with game mode and map comparison is that the TF2 maps actually had some differences, such as how you could capture the points and the fact that both teams were on Attack.
All of Overwatch's maps with the same gamemode play the same. 2 points, 1point and push a cart through 3 checkpoints, push a cart 4 checkpoints, or KotH. And KotH is the only gamemode where the map makes a difference.
McCree and Widowmaker are way too strong.
D.VA and Zenyatta are underpowered but I don't think by that much
I don't think the hero balance is that out though, its the maps.
Most of them are just flat out bad, I think the only ones that seem to have been designed well are the KotH maps.
Compare Gravel Pit or Dustbowl to any Overwatch Capture Point map and you'll see straight away massive differences in design, for a start Overwatch basically has no transition between the points, the entire game once the first point is captured exists solely around the second point, the defending team has no option to really push out, but no reason to either because the defending team have to funnel so fucking hard.
I hope any future maps they add are huge upgrades in quality.

The point that OP misses like every Widowmaker ever, is that the game is incredibly polished in all aspects. It knows what it wants to do, and it does it with impeccable accuracy and style.
It has a variety of characters, all of which have very few, but very specific skills, production values through the roof, and tight, fast-paced gameplay designed to keep you engaged with no downtime.
It's the exact opposite of the slew of "open world, thousand quests that mean nothing" games we've been suffering through, and I fucking love it to bits.
