i have that whole converstation memorized. the characters in cave story have such great dialogue.
PROTIP: Kero Blaster is not as good as Cave Story but it's terrific fun and absolutely worth getting. A lot of people say it's short, but the main game will last you for 2-3 hours, and then there's another mode called 'zangou mode' with new level layouts, enemies and bosses that will easily take double that.

The Mimiga Mask ending means you can't do the hell run though, so don't save after using the rocket to the last cave.

It's a strange kind of feel. I want more Cave Story, because it was one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. But I feel like a 2 isn't really needed. Keroblaster is great, but it technicallt already got a "sequel" with Zangyou mode.
I suppose I'll just have to wait. Pixel is damn good at making games, so I'm sure whatever he does next will be worth looking forward to.

CS was such an atmospheric emotional ride and Kero Blaster was just kind of a cute straightforward arcadey game.
