I wish they would make a Thief 4, sometimes I like to think Dishonored is a spiritual successor. Mainly because at the end of the last Thief game Garrett found a girl that he made into an apprentice. In the new Dishonored Corvo training Emily to become an assassin is kind of the same thing that happened in Thief.
A Thief 4 would totally work with an older Stephen Russell, the girl now older would play the more basic thieving levels while Garrett usually more of a mentor takes on the really hard heists and places that involve monsters and the usual crazy stuff.

Thief 4 (not counting Thi4f) would be bad no matter what because mystery was important to the setting and overall feel of the games. Exploring that world more would only harm it.

I have the new Thief game for ps3.
