How are everyone's experiences with the new expansion? I'm blown away personally, this could be a standalone game in its own right.

I just got the game but something about it feels a bit cheap. The sound design is what I noticed first and isn't very good.

Relics are supposed to be powerful; on par with master witcher gear. Especially shit like aerondight.
No idea why the game decided to confiscate all my weapons. Even with no mods on they're all gone, so it's definitely the patch.

I do hear you on the console debug thing. For some reason patching to 1.21 gave me a leveling bug and i went from lvl27 to 41 in one kill. it's gone back to normal since but im crazy over leveled, so i want to de-level myself but CDPR break everything ever when they patch. Consoles should be auto-include in games like this anyway.

The coloring is really off compared to the base game, but I'm still enjoying it so far.

I haven't played 3 or the expansion yet, but does the expansion take place in a sunnier, warmer area? I think that's maybe what the saturation is trying to convey. The buildings are really colorful too, which reminds me of the buildings in South America or the Mediterranean.

Any1 else having issues with the music in the newest patch? I was doing the ladies of the woods quest and the music didn't play at all there and there has been similar moments where the music doesn't play at all.

I will take it when the game has a much better draw distance and no distance fog what so ever.
So far, I think having a new region hurts what could be a good story. HoS was straight to the point story, B&W has alot of busy work as a result of being 3 times as much content or more. I like the Duchess and Regis.
The new enemies are fun to fight, much better than what HoS adds.
However, when you are not doing the main story its alot of busy work. Like solving 5 vineyard problems, another 5, then another 5. The Wine Wars questline was so fucking boring.
New Gwent deck is okay, wish it had some kinda card draw but Summon Avenger is neat and the Berserker are strong when you do get them + the activator.
I feel like I would enjoy this more if I didn't do any side quests. Just played the B&W main story, and then level scaled up all the side content to me.

Go to the menu, Character, Combat then put enough points into that branch until you unlock "Whirl" Equip the talent then hold down the fast attack button (square on PS4) and he will do a very close range attack that hits multiple times.
If you stack attack power by using the Feline Mastercrafted set with six 5% attack power gems in swords and filling branches with red mutagens and combat abilities, you can do a ton of damage with that move.

I've been playing TW3 mostly drunk as shit, which is kind of a good thing because I barely remember it and can replay it when the time comes and still be surprised. But in this year I gave up drinking and turns out no games are fun sober. Haven't tried B&W though, I hope I enjoy it sober as much as I loved TW3 drunk.
