More crpg should have choices based on your skills and abilities
/v/ doesn't hate it, /v/ just prefers NWN2 because of it's stories.
NWN is superior in multiplayer though.

I like it, lots of fun to be had I just played through the first expansion with my friend recenty and we had a good time except he chose a mage and got 1 shot by archers constantly early on but it made for some good laughs
Original campaign was pretty bad for its time. Ironically it actually aged well compared to the absolute dogshit WRPGs are now.
It's still mostly mediocre, Mask of the Betrayer is great stuff though.
It's a pattern with NWN, the first game's original campaign was bland too, but HotU was great.

I love NWN1 and played it for years but NWN2 was a better game all round, that includes multiplayer.
