Gavin Price talked about wanting to cross-promote games with Rare in each other's games, i.e. some kind of Stop 'n Swop functionality between Yooka and Threeie.
But even if that was the case I fear there'd be a lot of backlash that the big evil corporation has to jump on the bandwagon (even though that is 100% the truth) and would boycott a genuinely good game. Hopefully fans are more mature than that, but that's assuming this shy ever happened.

Correction: the better part of the banjo team is at Playtonic. Gregg Mayles, Steve Malpass, Jamie Hughes and Leigh Loveday are all still there. Ed Bryan is freelance and making iOS games nowadays, but he's an integral part of the first two games. Infact u think he did the design for Dr. Puzz in Yooka.
So yes, they could get away with amazing a good banjo game, but these are still the people who had a much bigger hand in bringing nuts and bolts to fruition compared to the Playtonic chaps.

I do remember that thread as well, but comparing them now, that one just seems much less thought out. I mean, Mumbo's Mountain again? 20 jiggies instead of 10? That's something anyone can come up with. This new leak, though not real perhaps, sounds more likely.
