Its dumb name for it anyway.
The reason for a "half A press" run of a level, is that on a 100% run of SM64 you could carry over an A press you had to use to jump and get an earlier star.
You can do 10 Stars that require "half an A press" and you only really pressed A one single time.
It really should just be called a Held A Press run.
