Play this game again! It's so weird! Yeah there's a horror monitor used to find scares. There is a sense meter and you have to keep up with adrenaline.. and a lot of items to find and use. The combat is fun and you can use an escape ladder to run away lol.
Terrible, overrated game. Fun with friends or to stream, but its cringey as shit.

One of the strangest game I've ever played and I play a lot of niche Japanese games. That whole final chapter goddamn. This is one of those games from the days when developers still took risks with their games and didn't care about making things that would appeal to everyone. Now does that make it a good game with good gameplay? No, but it was still a hell of an experience.

Its a terrible game with terrible gameplay (especially excruciatingly terrible combat), with repetitive slow movement which particularly comes to be annoying when your shit is rekt and you need to haul ass across the level to the chopper/ladder/whatever.
It had a few stupidly fun cutscenes (WE HAVE TO SAVE THE SEXY DOLL!!!!), but thats it. Unless you are blazing with a friend and want to laugh, or streaming, its completely utter trash.

Hell, game openly acknowledges how shit it is, its very self aware. Devs bailed mid-development so published had to finish the game itself. It can, but this one isn't. Gameplay sections are far too long and tedious, enjoyable content/moments are literally 1:100 ratio. Its fun with friends, but playing it on your own wouldn't be fun at all.

Deadly Premonition reminded me a lot of this game. They have a similar philosophy for picking up items/fighting enemies/interacting with the world, and the whole 'not taking horror super seriously' angle. Plus most people not getting it and absolutely hating what are clearly the best fucking games ever made.
