I'm playing the vanilla version on PS4. They added a new update to the menu system. They switched the font up and pic icons, and they moved certain menu slot placements around. The menu screen is a little more smoother than before.

Judging from what I've seen here and on the forums it seems like the patch is causing a ton of minor issues like pop-in, glitches in dialog, missing tracks and some general bugs.
I sure hope they stick around long enough to straighten them out, it's a bit annoying when major patches like this end up breaking a bunch of other things.

The best strategy is to win round 1 and 3. So thats what the computer always does. However when I win round one I bait them along longer than just playing one card because I want to ensure a round 3 win. So the AI could be improved to maybe playing 2-3 moves before passing. However their overall strategy is correct, round two ain't shit unless you lost round one.
Of course it also depends on how many cards both players used in round one. Every now and then you get that fag who passes early in round 1 and then you know 2 and 3 are gonna be heavy.

I can handle it, but the fact that the opponents do the same thing EVERY time in the second round after you lose the first is just fucked up.
Sometimes I intentionally lose the first round because I used some spy cards, and sometimes the other guy is using the crones and vampires and all that shit without me having any special cards, so I just let him spam all his valuable cards in the first round. No matter what the scenario is, if you lose 1st round, second round is your opponent playing 1 card and then passing. Makes it too easy actually

depends on how you play it.
The computer will play well into the round if you keep it going. Even after all the spy/decoy swapping.
But I use the Monsters deck because its the most efficient. Whenever NR and Nilfgard get into a spy/decoy battle it drags the hands on too long. Monsters basically forces the computer to play you straight up, with minimum spy/decoy swaps.

They win the round but your cards in hand should be stronger than theirs, if you play your cards right. Then match victory awaits in round 3.
As I said, I use the same strategy but I'll really fuck with them. I'll use any junk cards I have left like leader card/weather cards just to bait them into playing too many cards in round 2. Then round 3 is over before it began. Its cheap, but effective.

Fuck, now Im in a dilemma. Started a NG+ playthrough for HoS, which ended up cranking the DLC's difficulty up to 11 because I was so underleveled. So if I want to get those sweet, sweet single lines of references Im going to have to power my way through the rest of the campaign in the next twelve minutes + DL time.

It's not that I dont understand the tactic. But I feel like a little better programming would have done the trick. Right now there is no distinction between a round 2=bait round and a tactically advantageous 2 round sweep (from an enemy viewpoint). It's always a "bait round". I did a Story and Sword playthrough shortly after the game came out a year ago on account of never having played a Witcher game before.
Now I'm doing my second on Death March because the game got stupid easy for me towards the end. I got Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine to get into.
I can either start fresh or do New Game+, problem is I have the best Ursine armor + maxed skills that will carry over and I won't feel like I'm progressing.

Those are bonus settings that are applied on top of a normal graphical standard. Same goes for AA at higher resolutions. Crysis allows for 16x in game msaa. Now, to max it at 4k, would you max out the AA slider? No, unless you're literally autistic

I disagree, I think they are meant to be done before you complete the Main quest. The required level to do it is 64 (in NG+), you would be way overleveld if you waited until you completed the base game as well as missing out on pretty cool dialogue (In Hearts of Stone anyway).
