Wait for them to charge you and hit them with shotty or super shotty when they get close. Even if you dont kill them in one hit, it stuns them and leaves them open for the killshot.

Fuck Pain Elementals. Most of the time they aim at their own Lost Souls, summoning more and more of them, and the Lost Souls are all chasing you. Leaving the Elemental unattened for five minutes turns the map a living hell of lost souls flying all over the place.

I played Blood on dosbox and those things are the most dangerous enemy in the game. There's some problem with dosbox that makes it impossible to shake them off of you. Game over if it touches you.

I played it on cuckstation and thought it was pretty good. Good amount of content and quite a bit of secret treasures to find. It was fun. Took me 16 hours to finish my first playthrough so it has decent length for its price and there's NG+ as well.
