Not like it's related to the thread or anything but I'm also working on a mod for fo4 that adds a rifle inspired by the assault rifle/g3 from fo3.
Pic related, it's using the radium rifles animations (and thus a smaller magazine than the actual g3) because it's the only nice animation that doesn't make the players hands clip through everything.
It's like the second mod I've made so I'm still trying to figure out why things like the hand guard isnt showing up

It's definitely worth playing, though it isn't perfect. Two of the zones are quite laggy unless the draw distance is lowered and you can expect crashes from time to time, so save often. As with Oblivion/Skyrim, do not use the autosave function at all.
Core mods I recommened are;
Oaristys' Revamped Nehrim
