Good thing to know. Loved playing W3 at 1600x900 medium settings with 30-45 average. Hopefully it's the same story for me. It's probably the new way that B&W is introducing the new foliage texture mapping and other texture copying across the board.

To elaborate.... I finally can afford to turn up shadows to high and AO to HBAO+ after this patch, and I still get 40-50 FPS pretty much everywhere(even in Novigrad) whereas previously I got just over 30 with those lowered. Everything else is on high too, except foliage distance, which is at medium, and water, which is on ultra. In some places in the wild, especially Skellige, I actually reach 60 now, it's glorious.
One spot I always used to test FPS was the Oxenfurt market square, before I dropped to about 27-28 there, now I only dropped to 36.
This might not be better for everyone, though, I'm reading some people actually experience FPS drops post-patch. But what I'm getting on such an old card now is pretty great. I wonder how well the game performs in Touissant, since apparently they said graphics are better there.

When you walk/run down stairs sometimes the game will automatically roll. I don't know how to explain why it happens too well, but I think it's because for a brief moment the game thinks you're not standing on the ground anymore. And when you do come in contact with the stairs again you roll, happened to me quite a lot, especially when going on stairs from an angle or over some kind of threshold.
