Is this meme game ever coming out?

>yfw the delay is to add denuvo after seeing how uncrackable it is and removing the game from GOG

It has infinite content so it'll probably take infinity to make

Cool headcanon OP
>>
Real question - is anyone genuinely looking forward to this? How long are you expecting to play it? How could you possibly be looking forward to it based on what we know? No meme answers please.
>>
>>339346140

People expecting so fucking much from this game for seemingly no reason. It's there first game and they over reached big time. On top of that the vidya hype brigade got hold of it talking about unlimited re-playability and interactions. Be prepared for a weak game with a promising premise cause that's all yall getting

It's not coming out. And if it is, it's going to be so boring you have no idea.

Pic related, too.
>>
>>339349072
Rofl, this is all that needs to be known, really.

The game is going to be a steaming pile of shit.

That would be the Dumbest move they could possibly make.
They are literally getting millions right now by the people alpha testing it
>>
>>339348860
>almost literally anything

You can go anywhere, but the things you can actually do are pretty limited. All I've seen/heard so far is mining and dog fighting. What do you mean by "you can do anything"?
>>
>>339350384
yeah this, those mofos must be loaded.

Is their kickstarter still active and receiving funds?
>>
>>339350384
Yeah because that's going to last forever
>>
>>339346140
Did they really say that there was multiplayer in the game or not? I keep hearing now that they never mentioned the game actually having it.

The entire company has 15 employees. They "promised" a game with more possibilities than GTAV or Skyrim in a much bigger world while these AAA titles has more people working on a single portion of their games than their entire company. There is more than 15 people working on the weapon models in a shooter, more than 15 working on the airplanes in a sandbox. The only game this company ever produced was an arcade indie title.

It would be a miracle if the game would work at all.

>>339347521
>is anyone genuinely looking forward to this?
a little bit. I like space games and I like alien planets.
>How long are you expecting to play it?
5-6 hours
>How could you possibly be looking forward to it based on what we know?
I def won't get it on release and will wait for sale somewhere a couple of years later.
>>
>>339350556
Yeah you can still back it
>>
>>339347521
It's some chill exploration that you know you will never explore all of it, and there is always something new to find. When asked if Earth was in the game, the developer said "No; Well maybe if it happens to generate randomly".
>>
>>339351089
There is multiplayer, /v/ just fell for a meme like usual.
>>
>random world generation
They did it in Starbound. Guess what? It was shit.
>>
>>339347521
Yes, but basically because it just fits my niche's perfectly.
I believe most people looking forward to this are going to be horribly disappointed, however.
>>
>>339353861
So because one game did it bad all random world generators are bad? That's kind of a retarded stance. There seems to be quite a bit of variation in randomness.

>>
I am.
Sorry you're still mad over no multiplayer.
>>
>>339354078
The random world generation needs to be deep enough to be interesting. Just "randomly combining pre-made parts of the world/animals/enemies/whatever" will always be shit. And I see no indication that NMS' developers do it differently.

I know exactly one game which strives to do random world generation right, and it is Dwarf Fortress. Yet it has no graphics, was in production for more than 10 years and will be for 10 years more. That's because writing entertaining random world generation (or rather simulation) is fucking hard, you have to be autistic of Toady levels to even attempt it.
>>
>>339347521
I'm expecting it to pretty much be Subnautica but in space
>>
>>339347521
I don't think it will be the best game but I'm interested.
I specially curious about the procedural generation of this game, I want to know how far it will be randomized before we start noticing pattern and repetition.
Because this game is the first attempt to produce an entire galaxy where we can visit planet and jump into our ship to go visit the next one.
It will not be perfect but I respect the attempt.
>>
>>339347521
I know a blunder when I see it, this game is going to be the Spore of the 8th generation.
