Hey /v/,
Recently I've gotten into computer gaming and whatnot, but I'm experiencing a constant "problem" with my mouse. Every 20-30 minutes I'd say my mouse (not the cursor) but the actual mouse makes it's way from where I started using it to the edge of my desk.
Why is this?
Are any of you experiencing the same problem or have in the past?
Anything I could do to stop this from happening?
I DO NOT have acceleration enabled, at least I think I don't.
It's so annoying, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If mouse acceleration isn't enabled, then the ratio of the cursor to the movement of the mouse is always 1:1

You mouse receives information from the laser bouncing off of a surface. If there is hair or anything blocking the path of the laser, it gives false information to the mouse.
TLDR: Clean the lens of the laser

of course it will if you are moving it.
or do you mean while you are playing it is fine, then to reach the right side of the screen you have to move the mouse to the end of your desk, where when you started playing you were moving it less to reach the edge of the screen?
if it is the second, it is just where you are using an optical mouse and lifting it when you are moving it, a bad habit, but most of us do it.
