When I was a kid I had a game genie attached to my Sega game gear. The game was mortal combat. I use to fuck around and enter random codes to see what would happen. In the shitty 3DS port of Cave Story, I found a series of glitches that could be used to beat the game in around ten minutes.
In Dawn of War 1, if you completely surround your ork factories with buildings and free orks and you get the pathing to bug out, your unit cap resets to 0 and stays there so you can basically create as many units as you want. This was the best at LAN parties. I'm a huge RTS scrub but with my eternal army of free orkz no one stood a chance.

Not him but:
A typical rear naked choke works not by constricting your windpipe but by compressing the carotid arteries on either side of your neck. These transmit blood to your brain, so by putting pressure on them you stop the blood flow and the choked person passes out. By turning raiden's head you turn him such that the choke is applied to his windpipe again and not to his arteries, which means if he holds his breath he'll stay conscious longer than he would if his carotids were being compressed.
Look this doesn't work in real life but if it's true that it works on mgs2 then that would be the justification for it.

Some controllers on the american snes will allow you to go into debug mode on games. Such as being able to press x y l r down select in super mario bros 3 on the super mario allstars collection. This allows you to freelys cycle between all the power ups. Whats interesting is all the power ups have a debug version that is a different color, auch as Tanuki suit being blue and the fire flower turning mario green and brown almost like camo. What the debug suits do is allow you to allways be in the background as if you went through a white block. Theres even a debug boot or whatever its called. I had alot of fun with that as a child but also fuck that because those same controllers totally fucked super mario kart by making the character player in an infinitly small state so you just got squished non stop

In the arcade version of galaga if you move the stick and press buttons rapidly during the demo video you can control the ship for a while.

If you speak to the chocobo on the chocobo farm in final fantasy 7 and say "WAARK!" it will dance like a faggot and give your first summon materia. Level up this meteria early on is a good idea because when it splits you can sell it for a decent amount of cash.

in GTA IV the Remington 700 was a bolt-action sniper rifle, but if you fired and clicked the crouch button you could fire again immediately, skipping the reload animation, and click it again to stand back up and cancel it again. This let you fire it like an automatic weapon if you were quick enough whilst dodging enemy headshots- people used to make snipers only matches online a lot back in the day and I'd use this technique to dominate the lobbies by just getting cheap body shots off over and over again, I never saw anyone else do it but it's not complicated so I'm sure I'm not the only one to figure it out

In Super Mario 64 DS, you can unlock Waluigi by obtaining all 150 stars, collecting every coin in all of the stages, and beating every boss with every character hatless twice. After this, go to the plaque sitting in the center of Boo's courtyard playing as Luigi. Do a half A press, and you will be teleported to Waluigi's realm and have to face the purple doppelgänger himself. If you manage to win, you will unlock Waluigi as a playable character. I know this because my wife's son knows Shigeru Miyamoto.

In the Monastery of Madness, there's a wall you can cast Move Mountains on to reveal a disclaimer and the phrase "Friends don't let friends watch bad kung-fu movies".
This is super-secret (can't find any mention of it online) because normally you know which walls the spell will work on because the wall is cracked, but this is an isometric game and so walls facing away from the camera are invisible, and the wall that the spell will work on is invisible for that reason.
