Back then all Capcom had was SF and SNK was looking so much better back then because they tried so many new things and people loved it. Mark of Wolves being it's highest point that is still held in higher reguard than any Capcom fighter today. This shows that back then Capcom wasn't killing SNK like people thought. Now once again, all they have is SF and SNK is bring KOF and Samurai Showdown back with more down the line if they can get good sales and it's looking pretty good for them. I don't think Capcom was expecting SFV to hold them afloat. It's very telling in how Ono wasn't even sure there was going to be a V a few years ago. This seems more like a Sony-funded move than Capcom going all-in.
