If you aim well enough you should be able to 1 shot him post hook with a quick LMB+Melee. The hook is so inconsistent with where they end up though, so it's tough.

Characters seem to get pulled to the side pretty regularly, even with no obstacles between you and them. With obstacles in the way it's an absolute shitshow, and you just have to guess where they'll end up. The most annoying is when it pulls them behind you. I've even hooked someone standing right in front of me, and it moved them farther away somehow.

If you see that the enemy has a Roadhog then you should be out in the open anyway. There's more to these games than mouse skill, game sense is just as important.

The damage on it is pretty bad.
The only other use is the knockback, which is highly disruptive, but that's not enough when everyone else has a "wipe the entire enemy team" ult.

Just do it whenever. It does 50 damage, and your get the cooldown reset if ANYONE OR ANYTHING kills them once they've been hit. So you can dash and then throw shurikens and kill them, or you can dash and then your friendly Junkrat hits them with a grenade and you get the reset.

Swift strike resets on kill so only use it as a finisher or you're likely going to put yourself in the center of several enemies and die. It does 50 damage so use it when an enemy has one tick left.
An escape or finisher are it's best uses.

D.Va is the worst tank though. Arguably the only good thing about her is the blowing up thing, and it's really easy to avoid by simply breaking line of sight behind a wall or corner. So really, it's only good as area denial or if you're only playing with retards, maybe some kills. Rarely has anyone in my group died to D.Va's ultimate. Now Reaper on the other hand, he can drop on you silently and activate his ultimate without warning. All other ultimates are loud as fuck.

Oh, yes its worth it, you lose 40hp but you can replenish yourself with a healthkit somewhere on the map, you can position yourself better than just jump jetting.
Do be aware of the height cap of certain maps though

I generally do well simply by placing it in blind spots near objectives or in blind spots near health packs.
guy goes for health packs, he's wounded and desperate, meaning he'll be less aware of turrets and will have less time to kill them.
If a bunch of turrets in one spot are destroyed, find some other spot to place them because one or more enemies will pretty much always destroy them if you replace them in the same spot.

Graviton is very much an ultimate of extremes. It will either be hilariously ineffective or ferocious, but I play Zarya a lot and I don't really see a middle ground. It's obviously very important to coordinate it with other teammates (usually their ultimates, but some heroes like Junkrat can do just fine alongside a Graviton even if they don't have their ultimates), but some enemies are capable of single-handedly shutting it down.
Namely, D.va (who, as I learned the hard way, can happily swallow up the graviton projectile before it becomes a black hole), and Zenyatta who just has to ult to protect his entire team.
I thought that Reinhardt's shield could block the projectile too, but in my Pharah/Zarya combo earlier in the thread, it seems that's not the case. I actually remember firing that Graviton, and shouting because I thought it hadn't worked and that Reinhardt blocked it.
But I calmed down after I heard the quintuple kill horn.

I didn't say it's not powerful, but it's certainly not overpowered. There's a reason it's among the slowest-charging ults in the game.
