There's an english patch for KH2FM if you're emulating. If you have a PS3 you can get 1.5 and 2.5 those have the final mix versions.

With days you'll still miss some stuff but I don't think you miss nothing too crucial. I wouldn't recommend Days to anybody but you can watched Re:Coded and understand everything but Re:Coded was pretty fun imo so you can emulate that if you want.

Nah people hate it because they say the gameplay was complete shit and people expected a lot of character exploration with the Organization but instead we got Xion. The Days manga gave us what we didn't get.

Aside from that, it had the most bold developments in the series, namely the tetris stat/equipment/ability grid, the multiplayer/huge playable cast, differing weapon combos and playstyles, and the feature to replay any mission at any level.

I love this game, I only ever played the ps2 version but I wish I could have the gba version myself.
The gamplay is pretty fun and the bosses were great too.
Also it had the best Sora we've seen in the series and it introduced the best world too (Twilight Town)

They do, but I honestly would tell you to play 358/2 days on a emulator if you cant have it on the ds because I really liked the story and the plotwists and the emotional impact is heavily reduced with only the cutscenes.
I would had liked to play the game first instead of just watching the cutscenes, so I'd say try the game and if you dont like it ( the gameplay isnt the best) just watch the cutscenes.

Just finished Re:Chains, it did make KH2 easier to understand. Not really a fan of the card mechanics, the instanced fights and all the KH1 rehashingwhich is basically the entire game reallybut it was enjoyable enough with the right deck.
Still wondering if KH3 will show the normal human forms of the remaining OrgXIII and explain if the betrayal had any other reason aside from DARKNESS and POWER.

I agree it's better, by virtue of his story being almost entirely original and only having to unlock boss battle rooms, without all the rehashed KH1 story fluff. His gameplay is also better because no deck management, but some of the preset decks were a bit annoying.
