I already called all its gameplay shenanigans and how it would be butchered shit months ago.
It's just sad that the whole world WAS actually united against it before the release, but somehow the luke-warm, mediocre "Brutal PainKiller RPG" SP was enough to make most people love it again.
I've been replaying Doom1 again just this week, and not only has it shown how much I'd forgotten about it, but also how simply amazing its gameplay and map design are. Some of the levels have been plain out disturbing, some horror-game tier shit, without relying on jumpspooks and pitch-black darkness.

You can get 3, 4, Underground, Underground 2 and American Wasteland on PC, as far as I'm aware.
The correct answer is get Underground 2 then download the THUG PRO mod which lets you play levels from the other TH games using U2's gameplay.
