Is it any good?
Looks kinda cool.
Or this? I just need something to play.
Hellooooooooo? Faggots?
CHECK THE FUCKING CATALOG.
It looks like God of War: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. As in, it totally misses the point of what made the original so fun and goes for today's audience with the most generic modern video game trappings (qtes, boring gory combos) instead of trying to capture and elevate the essence that made the original (as flawed as it was) so memorable.
Also, the new score sounds so generic in comparison to the original.

Fuck the vidya, post more of that art, laddie.
>>339232943
So what you're saying is, it's not worth twenty bucks?
>>339233009
He's called Roger Dean, our greatest living artist.
He and some of his contemporaries did some awesome cover artwork for Psygnosis back in the day. If you want, I can start a dump.
>>339233363
Fuck yes.
>>339232943
>the essence of the original
Pretty graphics and shit everything else? Not even nostalgia saves this one.
>>339233219
Oh, don't take my word for it. I haven't really played it. But judging from what I've seen in trailers and dev interviews, it just about encapsulates every asset I detest in modern gaming and is such a far cry from the original beyond surface similarities it should have been called something else.
>>339233562
So you like the original?
nights of azure
How is it? It seems like something I would like but idk.
>>339233558
Pretty graphics, great soundtrack, unique world building, great exploration. Sure, the difficulty was off kilter, but that's an aspect they should have elevated instead of just copying God of War and its clones and making the game about that.

I don't get how people can play games with girls this sexy in them. Playing through Digimon Cyber Sleuth my dick was fucking red raw after 100 hours or so.
>>339233683
I like it. it isn't perfect but there was so much potential in doing what it does well greater justice than repetitive qte blood n guts.
>>339232518
Well the original played like a bootleg of Altered Beast where the weakest looking punch available was your main weapon, the only thing worth mentioning was the aesthetics and sound.
>>339233691
It's okay the combat is hit or miss but after you get further into the game it starts to open up a little bit with more weapons.
I wouldn't recommend it for full price but its like 30 bucks on amazon right now i'd say it's worth that for the atmosphere and soundtrack alone.
Even if you don't play the game listen to the soundtrack because it's phenomenal.

Is that digimon game good?
>>339233920
I see thanks! I saw it on there once for 20 and was like, well shit I probably should.
Didn't though. Alright thanks
>>339233987
Both Surge Concerto games, heard good things about them.

>Is that digimon game good?
Mostly yes. The only thing objectively bad about it is the environments / overworld. It's restricted as fuck. Basically the same thing as the first couple of Resident Evils. Fixed camera, screen wipes.
But other than that, it's great imo. Relatively difficult too (if you set it to Hard mode) so it's not just click-to-win like Pokemon.
After you get used to navigating around the maps, it becomes really fun and you kind of forget how shitty they are.

I see! Sounds actually pretty awesome then. I'll look into that too then!

Grew up with the original, consider myself a decent gamer (as in I beat most games I touch without a problem) However I've never beat Shadow of the Beast for Genesis after lots of trying. The game hits a lot of nostalgia for me so my opinion isn't the best to follow, but so far I'm pretty happy with it. Got it on a buddy's ps4 so I don't get to play it as much as I'd like but so far, pretty challenging, pretty graphics, surprisingly hard gimmicks ( like the rage chains, the timing is pretty quick) I'm sure I could beat the game with all the unlockables in a day, but the soundtrack and nostalgia I get from it doesn't have a price.
Realistically though, if you don't know about the original, it's going to be a quick run through that's meh.
>>339234415
Yeah, I've dumped like 200 hours into it and am at the last boss.
Before the final boss, you have a few cases/missions that are optional (but beneficial NG+ wise) to complete, so I'm working on those, but I've been stopped in my tracks by the 3rd challenge (think there's 8 or something in all). So yeah, it gets pretty hard. But its satisfying when you beat some faggot boss.

we are in the midst of greatness, lads
