You have to build three decks of cards valuing 21-26, closer to 26 is better
The numerical direction of the deck either goes down or up based on the second card you play. If you play a 9, the next card has to be 8 or lower. Same in reverse.
Kings double the value of any card they're played on, including your opponents, which is useful for ruining their decks
Queens reverse the direction of the deck. And the suite but I never really understood that part but it's not that important.
Jacks remove whatever card they're put on, including your opponents cards. Useful for dealing with their sabotage without having to remove a whole deck.
Jokers do... something, you can read the rules but it's better to just ignore them.

You got three 'stacks'. The idea is to get the value of each stack to somewhere between 21-26, preferably 26. When you put down your first two cards, you set whether you have to build the stacks up or down (ie if your first cards are 9, then 7, each subsequent card has to be lower then the next. If your first card is 2 and your next is 3, each card has to be higher then the next). Face cards can do various shit like remove cards or double them (which may put a stack over 26).
It's not really that complicated to play, it just sounds difficult. It's kind of like a glorified blackjack, the main mechanic is getting each stack as close to 26 as possible (because you don't want your opponent to get closer than you).

The low intelligence dialogue options are fine just for fun, but better option could be low/high charisma "asshole" conversation choices, that say the exact thing, but are responded to wildly differently. The high charisma asshole being seen as confident and charming, the low charisma asshole just being an unlikable asshole (high charisma saying to someone to fuck himself- he will ignore you, telling him the same thing with low charisma - he will not give you his side quest or will start shooting you).

except that getting more than 5 INT is actually detrimental for XP since Idiot Savant vastly outperforms any INT bonuses.
You'll probably want 7 INT for Chemist, but stacking it too much will actually slow leveling.
