Your game is going to make Mighty Number 9 look like an auter's wet dream.

This is probably the optimal RPG formula
I don't like this life. It's super boring.
>>339201791
it's not max complexity but it's complex/deep enough to pull in the good theoreticals that spawn from games of its caliber
soundtrack/art style/graphic sharpness at the end of the day attribute to more replayability
>>339204192
>character creation
>not complexity/depth
i've played so many games just because of their godlike ost
Any other answers are objectively false.
Just enough story to give reason to what you're doing. It utilizes ambient sounds instead of a soundtrack.
Singleplayer 10, depth 10, replay value 10, graphics 4, art 6.
That was easy

For the deep and varied gameplay you casual.

nice try artstyle fag
if art is going to be split into

then sound is
>design
>quality
and putting no points into quality means you get 8 bit garbage

The Witcher 3 has lots of depth but set characters. I want to be my own character in an in-depth world.
Did u rike it?

Sounds like a pretty shitty movie. See it once, it's incredibly shallow and you never want to see it again because everything is revealed on the first watch, and it's not complex at all.
It's a porn game
>>339205865
So, literally a 3 on character creator would be fine.

Not bad.

So is mine.
H-RPG for me though.
I mute every one I play so soundtrack doesn't matter to me.
>>339201979
Pretty much. I'd take like one out from each of the tens to increase graphics and art style. Has to age well.
>>339201791

Literally impossible. Get your autistic selves out of here.
The highest awarded games in all of vidya are all simple.

Can someone post an example of maxed out art stlye but shitty graphical sharpness and vice versa
>>339208310
Autism simulators like Dwarf Fort and Flight Sims are garbage for wannabe smartasses who believe the more stretched out a game's mechanics are the better the game must be.
Perfect one element of your game and you'll be put down history. Put garbage out full of numbers and people will forget it while you're stuck in development hell forcing it to work.
What does single player and multiplayer even mean in terms of points? If I put 10 points in single player, does it mean its a 10/10 single player game? If I put 0 in it does it mean its shit?
>>339208384
i think OP should be corrected and sharpness should be changed to tech, because often games would use the unsharp images as part of their artstyle, such as doom for instance
example of great tech with no art are crysis and arma
example of great art with no tech are most arcade games
my favorite games are mgs2, demons souls, planescape torment, system shock 2, and super metroid
>>339208779
But the thread is about "your perfect game" and there are people who love that shit. Nobody is making charts for consensus, just for themselves.
>>339205825
A poorly written and boring text adventure with thousands of different outcomes
>>339209848
It's obviously not boring if it's so replayable.
/thread
Also, replay value should be merged into depth/complexity
rate
Not feeling this category composition. What're the simplest words for explaining a game?
Explain this art direction vs. graphics meme?
Replay value and depth are vague / overlayed.
So.. controls, core gameplay mechanic(s) (interaction and genre), mobility, single player / multiplayer (but levels? for what?), and maybe replayability.. Where would stuff like crafting, the economy (especially for multiplayer games / MMOs)..?

ITT: people who do not understand the gesamtkunstwerk principle
your artistic elements such as gameplay, art and music either resonate and compliment eachother or they don't. you cannot invest more resources into something while leaving other parts behind.
you don't put epic orchestra music into a simple game like hearthstone.
you don't make your realistic arma have a cartoony artstyle.
you don't write humorous wacky characters for your depressing dark souls game

It would certainly be part of it. The cleanest graphics in the world wouldn't be considered sharp if they moved across the screen that slow.
This is my business simulation game
>>339205312
He just made dark souls. And no, lore doesn't equal the story that has been told throughout the game

>Explain this art direction vs. graphics meme?
Art direction is the elements of artistic composition and design, i.e. stylistic aspects.
Graphics are a measure of technical implementation and include aspects such as resolution and polygon count.
A pixelized rendition of a beautiful sunset has good art direction but bad graphics.
A 4k highly-detailed rendering of a piece of shit has bad art direction but good graphics.
1 Point in Multiplayer for Co-Op
It would likely be some sort of open world RPG with inhumanly good wizard programmer tier procedural generation.
