There's nothing in the y chromosome that makes you predisposed towards certain video games. Most girls aren't exposed to vidya, and the ones that are are exposed to casual shit. Works as intended. You have amnesia, not the convenient whoops I forgot my backstory so insert your own amnesia. The a shitload of stuff went down, you somehow survived and repressed it all kind of amnesia.
Everything is suppose to feel confusing and strange, the fun of the game comes from trying to figure out what's happening, and why you can't remember anything.

That's not how it works, though. The games you get exposed to are casual games. Some people go further to explore what else is there, others don't. You may get friends that have similar interests to you, or you don't. You join communities, if you care enough about video games to want different stuff. We live in the age of the internet, this shit isn't niche, you can find it with one fucking google search. Women mostly just don't go looking for it and the ones that do just enjoy the games and don't draw attention to their gender.
