Then I guess it comes down to opinions. By the time I got to Anor Londo I had some decent equipment which was what the game taught me to always have for occasions and the layout of the hall was much more helpful from the rooftop, even the broken pillars helped in neutralizing some attacks of theirs while the rooftops had nothing like that, so if you let the 2nd gargoyle start its flame attacks you were basically fucked. At least that's how I felt about it. Again we're talking about just going for the win and that's taking about Smough first.

one fun thing to do is to replay some harder chapters, like 7, in normal difficulty. By the time I got it in VH I knew the track so well I beat it in normal effortlessly, without even having to touch blood falcon. It was pretty crazy considering it took some 200 tries the first time around.

I know it's easy, but casuals frequently died to it, specially on Tri. It was ridiculously fun watching noobs die when I played online. They just kept attacking and bouncing, hardly dodging right and always getting hit by the tail.
Brachy was a fun fight since it was new, maybe it was me being too used to the movesets of other monsters and Brachy made it seem like a fresh fight. Didn't last long though, I played 3U with DB and they are freaking op against it because of high mobility. I do admit it has some unfair moves, fighting against it with CB in 4U was more of a chore than with the DB.

I played all of DaS in hollow form because I didn't want to get invaded (what is ofline mode- at some point I wanted to PVP just wasn't ready) so I never summoned anyone for this fight.
Shit was really hard for me solo and I stopped playing the game all together for a month. When I came back to it somehow I beat them and it was probably my best memory gaming.
The only thing I did not like about it was that the game was then stupid easy after this point. None of the bosses did anything interesting and/or were gimmicky as fuck. 4Kings was a total fucking letdown.

Dark Souls isn't hard, specially because it isn't all that punishing either. Some older games are much harder and have something Dark Souls doesn't have, a "Game Over" screen. This means going all the way back to the beggining of the game in some cases.
Dark Souls is a game where you need to be careful, that is all. It's because of that, that casuals agree that DaS is hard, because it is the kind of hard they can complete with time.
