PC is not for exclusives. It is for higher quality versions of multiplats and game ports. Most PC exclusives in my opinion are fairly mediocre or are small indie games that any computer can run.
PCs are nice because they don't have limits in terms of hardware, whereas all consoles have to have the same hardware development focus. There's also a decent bit of convenience in having all your games in one place.

Its also worth mentioning that while consoles will eventually be replaced by newer generations requiring a new console purchase in order to keep getting new games, PCs will continue to last onwards, so there's a bit more longevity to be had. Although one may still have to upgrade their graphics cards at some point if you want to play more demanding games. Still, games would continue to come out on it long after a console died.

Well I didn't say that was the only reason. Although its worth mentioning that you do have a bit more control over how Dark Souls 3 looks on PC, especially with regards to resolution. Not to mention DS3 runs at 60FPS on PC, which I think you're neglecting. Also that price is bloated; one can do better for cheaper. You don't need an i7 or a Titan.

Pretty much why I'm on pc. I like my true 1080p 60fps exclusives really aren't a concern and KB+M has become my preferred control scheme, though games like your pic i prefer a controller. As I've seen many anons try to explain its about freedom and flexibility.

Because I have more freedom on PC, and when a console is replaced by a newer one my PC will still be getting new games from the newer consoles. I prefer to do everything I want in one place. I can freely take screenshots and post them where I please and switch back and forth between playing a game and doing something else with ease. I don't want to move from my computer to play a game. Consider that lazy if you will. I like the extra graphics options that are available most of the time. I get to have everything that are on a variety of consoles and handhelds in one place. I find that even with the sorts of games I play there's much benefit to be had by playing on PC.
Obviously if this stuff seems unnecessary or you don't personally care about such, then stick to consoles. Its a cheaper alternative to do so anyways in short term if you don't have any gaming systems period. But I prefer PC, even if all I play are multiplats and ports.

PC is good for RTS and shooters and multiplats. PS4 is good for Japanese games and Sony exclusives that don't get ported over. You should be able to afford a PS4 for $300 if you can afford a GPU for $400.

I'm sort of already an idort, its just getting harder and harder for me to justify buying newer consoles. The only benefit I see to them that I'm interested in are some of the games themselves, and a lot of them are games that would have the possibility of getting ports in the future (though things like Sly Cooper, Ape Escape, and Gravity Rush 2 I'd miss out on no matter what, and while unfortunate, I can accept that), and its not ideal to buy games twice (I've done it in some instances though). I own a PSTV, n3DS, and a PS3, but I find it hard to bring myself to buy a PS4 or an Xbone. I want to buy a console because I like the options the hardware presents, not just because of the games on them. Otherwise I feel like I'm being forced into something I don't like just to play what I do like.
I did give other reasons, from graphics options to longevity, and I feel like you're undercutting those reasons a bit. Graphics aren't everything of course, but its just a nice bonus. Longevity I feel is extremely important though. I don't want to constantly keep rebuying new hardware if it can be avoided.
I may buy a PS4 used at some point far into the future to play all that I missed once its super cheap. I can be patient. There's far too many games on my list to get as it is so I don't feel like I'm missing out too much.
To build a PC that performs equivalent of a PS4 costs around $700~$800
A PC can also do PC stuff. It's pretty cool.

Why didn't you say so lol. Your post makes it seem as if you only game PC, full stop. Your set up is literally identical to mine, those are all the consoles I own too the only difference being I have a PSP and a Gameboy Advance. To my knowledge there isn't a new Ape Escape that we're missing out on, at least not yet anyway unless they release one for PS4 in the future.
In terms of longevity, I can see Steam staying online longer than PS3's store so I get that but man, you really make it sound as if you only game on PC and that's what confused me about your post. I plan on getting a PS4 for my birthday in a few months though, there's some games I want to play especially around September but I don't know if I should wait for the new one or just buy the old model and buying second hand would save a lot of money.

Its my intention to try and avoid consoles beyond beyond the current generation so you aren't entirely off; I prefer gaming on PC, and would love to give up console gaming completely. (not handhelds though; the benefit during travel is too great). I just feel the PC is a better way to go and I try to get all my games on there if I can; that doesn't mean I won't game on consoles at all though.
Regarding your post, I think you should just wait until the new Playstation model comes out so that way you'll have a better hardware version of these games. If you're stressed for money, go for old model used though.

I own a 350€ pc (4 years old) that I play with on my 32" @ 720p. All games are free (exept occasional serial key for multiplayer) and I have literally thousands to choose from.
