I love playing Reinhardt and interrupting or blocking ult. Mein is my one weakness, you gotta pick her off at range or she'll fuck you up. Her and well played 2spookys and Tracers, since they dash in past your shield.
McCree doesn't need much to nerf him, but, seriously, Flashbang needs a longer CD and Fan the Hammer needs to actually be harder to land.
It's fucking bullshit to be playing Roadhog and to have him one-rotate me with the E-M2-Shift-M2 combo.

Literally the least skilled combo in the game, but that's ok, most people don't play mccree like the assassin he is. Mccree is for eliminating stragglers, tanks, and other lone Wolf's. Him, Genji, Tracer, and NotImportant all reward going off and CoD soloing the enemy team to kill off enemies so the team can get objectives.

McCree is comp king because of the damage Peacemaker (that's the guns name, right?) can do at close to long range. E + m2 is just a bonus.
His m1 damage drop-off was much lower in the invite-only phase of the beta. There's no way they'll double-back on that change because he's still the offensive meta.
Fan is not where all of his kills are supposed to come from. It's just that aiming is too tough for pubs.
It actually makes achieving pro and pub balance for him pretty tough, I'd imagine.

If he has a higher precision damage modifier, he can be effective for accurate players, and rewards people that can actually land a couple of headshots in his combo. Upping E's cd means there's at least some downtime between him fucking you sideways.

His close damage is key, but it needs some counterplay as well. As it is right now, his M2 is far too accurate for something that's supposed to be "wild shooting". Take away accuracy from it, and up damage for crits, and now it takes slightly more skill to instagib.
Hell, just add a CD to Fan the Hammer, and he'd suddenly be a lot more balanced when someone that doesn't get instagibbed comes around.

Hell, just make his flashbang hitbox smaller then, and lower the M2 accuracy, and you go from being the Default Offense to a more skillful character. It has spray, but the actual radius on it is small. It doesn't take long to get used to, and, unless you're shooting at a Tracer or Genji, every single hero's body fits neatly inside it.

Your E is a bit more complicated, since it relies on teammates. I play with other people 90% of the time, so I'll tell allies that I'm shielding them so they can poke and eat the return harass for free while giving me charge.

Its hard to tell you when to use her shield, you just sort of have to use your best judgement, comes with practice.
Once you get the timing of the shield down, you are a very good asset to the team, and even still you will mess up from time to time, like you said, sometimes you panic.
When you see an ally in the fray, pop a shield on them. Just constantly be shielding you allys, when they are being hit of course.
As for your shield, it really just comes down to your judgement. A lot of times you will see a bastion just spraying in your direction, why not pop out from around the corner shield up and have him power you up, then go after others near you.
Also good timing on an ultimate can really change the tide of a game
He needs a nerf so bad. In tourneys and competitive play where people have recorded hero pick rate his is over 100 percent. There is pretty much always a McCree or even two on every team. It's fucking retarded.

That combo only works on one target in close range and has an 8 second cooldown. Like the other guy said, he's more bursty than DPS. It's probably is just me having bad early games along with trying to play him too much like the other offense heroes when I don't have their mobility and survivability.

All of the tanks serve different functions of the tanking role, which is resilient low-key threat with area denial.
Reinhardt does this by being a tuffboy while shielded, and killer close up.
Winston/DVa are highly mobile, meaty aggressive harassers; they speed onto soft targets, do damage and speed out, repeat.
Roadhog is very much area denial and persistent threat. His hook combo is lethal to 90% of the cast; he deters enemies through the fact that if you see him, he can probably hook you and you don't want any of that mess. Coupled with a large, low cooldown self heal, he can stay in his squatzone for days hooking and cooking.
I love Roadhog but I don't delude myself into thinking he serves the same role as Reinhardt or Winston. He's still fun and highly effective.

I've been playing Lucio a lot more than I thought I would have, compared to Mercy. He feels so much more effective, actually having his heal AoE and being able to attack at the same time.
Mccree and widow are legitimately the only heroes that need a nerf right now.

Look at the number of widowmaker picks for Offense and defense. Then compare to koth.
Yes, she's total ass for koth, but 90% of matches have a solo widow pick for payload, and you will never encounter a payload match professionally without at least one widow active at all times.
Also look where Hanzo falls. If Widow was balanced she'd be relatively even with Hanzo (Hanzo is picked less not because he's ass, but because Widow is better in every conceivable way).

Most McCree's will immediately try to stun you when they have a clear line of sight with you. You have to reflect pre-emptively when you come across him and most of the time, it will work. Against better players it's harder though. All about the mind games.

All I want is for him to have to fucking hit his target with the flashbang to stun him. If he can do that, i will absolutely be okay with the death. The fact that he can throw the flashbang in the general area, and then practically spin circles while clicking m2 and still get the kill drives me up a fucking tree.
And before some mccree main starts getting fucking uppity about m2 accuracy, note that any hero with 200 health only needs 3 out of 6 shots to hit to die. A 50% hitrate on Fan whilst within flashbang range is almost literally guaranteed.

She's still a hard counter to lots of characters. The base freeze gun is amazing, projectiles are very powerful, she still has her ohk combo, and ice walls are useful for blocking. Nerfing cryo freeze still gives her healing ability, but it limits her to a defensive character instead of being a tank as well.
If blizzard isn't counterable, it should have a reduced throw range comparable to tracer's explosive. The problem with blizzard is that any character who doesn't have movement skills basically cannot escape it. It requires teammates to be effective, but when have you ever seen a mei playing solo?
At the very least cryo freeze needs a nerf. As is, she's a better tank than any of the tank characters.

Not that guy but Mei is essentially an absolute defense field against flankers like Genji. For someone who relies to heavily of movement, getting touched for even a single second means that, if your dash is on cooldown, you're fucked.
Her stasis is just a cherry ontop, even if you manage to land a ton of damage on her, she can not only heal it back up, but stall for several seconds. For a flanker whos whole mission is to quickly dive in and out, this is an ultimatum. You 'have' to leave and waste your entire entry, or stick around to get gangraped by her teammates now that you've lost the element of surprise.

I know how you feel, but Overwatch does a lot better in this area than most. Games are very quick so you don't have to sit through stomps for very long, teams get shuffled regularly so you usually don't have to worry about being stomped forever, you don't get fucked out of playing on the one decent server and there's no unlock treadmill so there's no reason to sit through hundreds of shitty games for unlocks.
Obviously there are some downsides to this too (mainly you can't stick with a good if you find one by chance and you can't really develop a server community) but it's pretty damn good for this era of online games.

I say a good way to tone down fan is to allow certain abilities to counter it.
When you deal the first damaging shot with McCree the stun breaks however, currently heroes with abilities like Reapers phase can't get out of it due to start up time. Genjis reflecct/dash, backtrack with tracer, sprint on 76, Reinheart's shield is too far forward to block on point blank and even then he will roll and follow it up, sniper zipline, DVas sheild, (Zaryas shield? I havent tested that), Winstons jump, or Pharas jump.
If these were all options for heroes then it would require McCree to pay attention to his opponents cooldowns and manage his own.
It should not be a thing when the majority of cards for McCree state things like "28 kills 24 fan the hammer kills" in pubs. They don't even understand how good McCrees basic shot is they just spam the hammer because it's nearly a free no skill kill on anyone.

Side not a majority of these abilities may not be working due to how the game processes shooting. On McCrees side it probably shows you still there when the second bullet hits. In the game the shooter has priority. Which would make sense because of how often Genjis do try to zip away through or away from McCree just to end up shooting their corpse that way.

Mei is the only problem character other than Widowmaker, not because she's too powerful, just because she's literally never any fun to play against. There shouldn't be characters in a game that suck fun out even if they're fun to play as. That's also why widowmaker should be removed. Hitscan snipers are literal cancer in any FPS unless it's a game that's fast enough that sniping is actually difficult like Quake.

Bait people into shooting you so you power up your gun, and use the E to save people or if there is another tank on the team(which is recommended, Zarya is an off-tank) bubble them when they are in trouble.
Keep in mind that Z's bubbles will absorb a whole move and still keep you alive. This means if you use the bubble at the right time, you can block 1 hit ultimates, like
D.Va
Junkrat

etc,
and the bubble will also help anyone about to be frozen by Mei even her ultimate.
