I stopped playing WoW after Wrath, but sometimes I catch bits of lore in threads on /v/

You've got that sort of wrong, The void lords manifest their will in the form of the old gods, the old gods can corrupt and enslave anything.

Elementals are nature spirits, and they get highly aggressive and volatile on worlds that lack the 5th element, spirit.

There is no confirmation that the void lords are Void Walkers, blizzard has yet to say what void walkers are in comparison to void lords.
