Ashley fans and WarioWare fans are pretty much two different groups at this point, although it's not impossible for people to be fans of both. Eh, nothing and I don't exactly find her a bad character either. It's just that, ever since she got this big fanbase which has both its up and downs, she just got milked out of nowhere. I get she's popular and there's nothing to do about that.
I used to like her too, but at the same time I see these badges that she's suddenly getting, they kind of unnerve me too. They just look... off.
I'm honestly not even sure what Ashley does have to do with Splatoon. At least I can understand the rabbit and Nikki, but then...
You just see her and compared to Nikki, she's disturbingly more drawn in a far skimpier outfit while Nikki looks far much innocent, for a franchise she barely has no relation to, which coincidentally does tend to also have fan art of the Inklings being drawn in that kind of way.
I guess it's all around weird seeing just a cute character that not only I have grown to like, but many other people as well looking as if she's literally pandering to THAT side of the fanbase instead.
