The etrian odyssey games are 'fun' until you come upon a fucking horrifying FOE blocking your way and realize you are going to have to grind your dick in a thousand pound mill to be strong enough to fight it.
Also that dark tower game? Wizard tower? It's like etrian. Cool art style.
Animal Crossing if you want to remember what warmth and comfort is like. Runefactory 3- you can skip 1 and 2. 3 is the best of all of them and if you go back you will feel how much 1 and 2 are lacking.

Radiant Historia - amazing JRPG. Great gameplay mechanics, great balance, good story, good music. Highly recommended. Easy to avoid random battles, which I recommend doing because it's unfortunately quite easy.
SMT: DeSu1 and 2 - 3ds versions are better but these are still great
Advance Wars DoR - great TBS. Story is cheesy but this game has the best gameplay in the series; different characters actually lead to different playstyles in this one. Unfortunately wifi is dead.
Big Bang Mini - really cool shmup where you use the touch screen to shoot
Castlevania DoS - Drawing on the touch screen is a stupid gimmick but otherwise this is a solid metroidvania
Castlevania OoE - Less good as a metroidvania, but the boss fights are better
Contra 4 - made by wayforward but it's a solid contra game
Fire Emblem 11/12 - far from the best in the series, but offers the classic TRPG gameplay the series is known for
Front Mission - more classic TRPG stuff, this time with mechs
Kirby Super Star Ultra - it's kirby
Mario Kart - it's mario kart
Pokemon - it's pokemon
SMT: SJ - solid entry in the series
Space Invaders Extreme - space invaders, but EXTREME
Trauma Centre Under the Knife - I didn't like this but the idea is really cool, you do surgery on the touch screen (against evil magic viruses and whatnot)
TWEWY - ARPG with innovative battle system (involving touch screen and buttons at the same time) and interesting story

Some of the Megaman games were good.
ZX/Advent were fun successors to Zero. There's also the Zero collection which is great. Otherwise Starforce was an alright successor to Battlenet. 1 was pretty good, 2 was bad and 3 was fantastic.

Yeah, I had plenty of fun just following the story to the finish but the gameplay never got to a point where I could have said I was satisfied with its depth. The solutions to a couple chapters were fairly clever but I think the game could have benefited so much from introducingmore new powers like Missile's object swapping to ramp up the complexity.

I honestly don't get the hype for this game. I'm sure it was good for it's time, but it has been surpassed by a lot of videogames in what it does.

When did this ever happen in the games? Either an FOE is really strong and you need to dance around and avoid it for the time being, or in a few rare cases an FOE fight is mandatory as a kind of mini-boss fight and they're total pushovers.Fuck the forest folk Hunter FOEs in Untold's 4th stratum though, those guys were dicks and Untold on Expert is clearly the most difficult game in the series so far

I think some people might like the Simple DS Series vol. 31. It's a sidescrolling tank game with a customizable tank. It's relatively simple as the name implies since it was made on the cheap, but it was pretty fun for a small playthrough. Wii version of colors only has better gaphics, it's level design is piss poor and it recycles the same three bosses twice over. Even the final boss for Colors DS kicks the shit out of that front running version in wii.
Colors Ds fixed all the level problems, made it much more like the original sonics, AND runs off the rush engine. And it actually makes you use the wisp powers strategicaly instead of throwing them at you randomly in a level
It is by far superior in every other way. and if graphics are your mainstay argument, then you aren't a true sonic fan.
