I'm not exactly happy about them selling EA indie stuff and movies and shit like that, but I would care a hell of a lot less if I could just flick a switch in the settings that filters out certain tags or engines or publishers or whatever else.

I'm involved with workshops that teach girls how to make games. Often when you see these kinds of things in the news, they're making shitty Twine games because that's apparently all people think these girls are capable of. Instead, I teach girls Unity. It's not easy for these girls to pick up at first, but it's not supposed to be, and by the time they're done they've taken the first steps towards making games with depth and complexity.
The problem with Twine is that, the more people believe Twine games are 'real games', the more we set a low bar for these kids who want to explore the field. Patting them on the back for making a shitty text adventure doesn't teach them much of anything, it doesn't open their minds to the possibilities that lay in front of them when they learn coding and art and really apply themselves. And it's easy enough to teach that some idiot can walk kids through it and go WOW I TAUGHT THEM HOW TO MAKE GAMES I AM SO GREAT LEMME SNAPCHAT THIS RQ SENPAI. They think they're making a difference when they've basically taught these kids nothing.

Basically a text adventure engine.
You write out a story and can use different tools built into it to make branching paths and add images and shit, and I think you can even fuck with it a bit to have RPG type skillchecks and things like that.
I'm pretty sure Free Cities was made in it or a version of it, along with a couple other simple porn games. For the most part though it's used by a lot of 2deep4u indies.
