The last episode was fine. She's a good mother who only wanted the best for her kids. Malcolm always thought that everyone was below him, and became selfish because he thought that he was owed something. Malcolm didn't cop out and realize his destiny wasn't his own after the revelation, he realized his mother was trying to support him and motivate him to use his gifts to help others.

I don't remember her speech at the end, but I do agree that all Malcolm's experiences will shaped him into a better person.

You're forgetting the part where the parents mistreated him for his entire life, including several incidents of financial abuse.

And the part where the family's shitty living situation is entirely the parents' fault, and they still wanted Malcolm to fix their shit for them.

>they still wanted Malcolm to fix their shit for them.
There's some truth to that, but even though Hal and Lois made mistakes they still do what they do to keep a roof for their kids.

Have you actually seen white trash families? Collecting welfare and just popping out kids. If that's what they did and then told Malcolm to fix their shit, then I would be upset. Both his parents worked a hated their jobs but still struggled. What did Lois want Malcolm to "fix"? She always taught him to work hard for what he wants, even forcing him to get a job so that he can be independent. It may be hard to understand, but family ties are usually stronger than that paycheck would've given him.

CNET's freeware installers include malware and spyware

Marketers were trying to bring a federal case against Adblock and ad blocking software

SOPA and PIPA

ISPs individually charging Netflix billions

You don't even want to imagine.

We were born when shit started getting standardized. There were literally hundreds of tutorials on how to use email, computers, the internet, back when it all started getting off the ground. Making web sites used to be this huge career people strived for. You had to learn so much code. Now a single program can do it and literal children were able to do it using MySpace.

It's easy to imagine a lot of people would ignore the process altogether after seeing how time consuming it would be to invest in.

Too much stuff on your hard drive isn't going to slow things down, although you should have some free space on the drive so you can do defragging. Also I'm not sure how Windows does it's paging system and if there's an actual page file, or if it just uses the free space, so free space may or may not affect that.

Having a lot of background processes will slow things down though.

I have two full drives and read and write speeds are the same they've ever been. Like I said, it only really affects defragging and page system. Why would it even affect r/w speeds?

If you have a reliable source to prove your point I'll believe you, but otherwise, the mechanic of reading and writing the hard drive does not suddenly change because of how "full" it is. First of all, the drive is a magnetic disk with sections marked as 0 or 1 depending on the polarity. Being full doesn't really matter because the hard drive is always "full" unless your files are so fragmented it has to jump from sector to sector. Reading the file table isn't a huge issue either.

The VAST MAJORITY of content of that sort is 720p. Anything labeled 1080p is a garbage upscaled piece is shit. You'd get better quality configuring your renderer upscaling options and using a good algorithm in the first place. The only times you'll ever find anime in 1080p is rare 1080 Blu-ray releases.

>Take a before and after benchmark if you don't believe me.
That's anecdotal retard.

Please explain how a more full hard drive slows access to files, because that's not how hard drives work. The OS has a file table that contains the location of the files and their segments on the disk. The hard drive reads the segments. There is a seek time based on moving the head over the correct position on the disk, and rotational latency based on rotating the disk so the proper sector is under the head. Neither of these are dependent on the amount of disk usage.

I don't remember how FAT works since it's been a while since I've programmed anything related to it, but the only way I see the HD slowing down due to space usage is because it would have to look into the FAT to find the file, but again, this isn't directly related to reading and writing the disk, but file access.
>>
>>339078349
Woops, I wrote "slows access to files" but what I should have wrote was "slows read write speeds" given what I wrote in the last paragraph.

>Is it really so hard to believe that parents would take the word of someone that clearly knows more than them?

Yes, it is. Doesn't matter if the child has a masters degree in something, some parents will always believe they know more than the child in every subject because they are the parent and should not be questioned.

ever have one of those moments when you saw something when you were really young but didn't understand what was going on then had that horrible realization later in your life?

>caught mom and dad fuckin multiple times as a small child, but don't even know what sex is
>probably was a cockblock several times because of this wanting to sleep with them cause lonely or bad dream, etc.
>that day you realize what you were seeing some years later when it just pops into your head

>also years later, parents divorce
>dad is now into his 4th fucking marriage
>me and sis look to swipe a few bucks while they are gone (like a few bucks in quarters, we just wanted to grab a pop n shit)
>instead we find his drawer littered with rubbers
>he was in his 60s by this time.

oh thats a nasty ass moment

One of the reasons I stopped living with my father was he'd torrent movies at full speed all the time. He wouldn't let me put any kind of throttling on his computer. He would turn it off if I asked without question but he KNOWS I hate asking him for anything or talking to him for any reason. He's not a bad guy, he just happens to be an obese, selfish smoking fuck

My father used to do the same thing, still uses internet explorer to this day as well despite being pretty tech savvy

No bro. Don't ever use a program to fix your computer for you. It's not hard to figure out what you really need to have running in the background.

Most factories don't shut down, they have parts they can pull from assembly while the entire factory is still hard at work.

A factory, server farm, any large technical place has live parts always. This is why they are what they are. You would know this if you have ever had a job that isn't working flipping burgers.

Now I'll take a large number 8 with extra spit you burger jockey.

How old is she?

If she's like 22-28 that's kinda expected.

It was a little more than a year, I believe. One of the guys, and possibly the one she lost her virginity to, was like 28-years old while she was 17, so that kind of irked me.

Yes, my mother assumes she knows more about computers despite being horrible with them
her way of fixing the computer when it freezes is to kick it and bang the mouse on the desk

Previous behavior is a fairly dependable indicator of future behavior.
Not that 6 partners over several years is a lot but in a more drastic circumstance it's definitely worth noting
