Henselt, Demavend, Meve and even Foltest were considered to be petty kings and queens who squabbled over tiny lands. Now Vizimir was considered to be a good king and he did unite the North against Nilfgaard and Redanina was considered to be the best of the Northen Kingdoms but he also had Djikstra and Philippa by his side who are the best political players out there. Emhyr sets in motion the plan to destroy the conclave and does so. He set in motion the plans to kill the Northern Kings and does so leaving only Rad left. It's not like he only just lost two wars.
Esterad of Kovir though might have been the best ruler, I will give you that.

Witcher 3 is actually the first story driven game I enjoy, the more I play it the better it gets.
At the begining I hated the fighting system but after some time it stops becoming a bother and you just fly thorught it. You could think that at least the detective parts of the game would redeem it but then again, these are so simple it's nearly insulting. Everything is glowing red so you won't miss anything and even at the end of the hears of stone Geralt literally says the solution to the riddle.
But the fucking world, story and interacitons between characters is fucking superb. I would never thought before that I'd advocate game with subpar gameplay but here I am.

You basically sell all your shit to the dwarf smith in White Orchard, then Aard a beehive to let him die from that. Resting will respawn him to die again but the bodies stay there.
