>The dodge roll being a class-specific move was a mistake. Other classes don't have an evasive maneuver other than jumping, which looks dumb

Some parts annoying and clearly half-baked, some parts pure ecstasy in a way that few games ever reach, like seriously all-time greatest gaming moments-tier.
Overall, a rough diamond, 8 for me. The DLC ups it to 8.5, best game content outside of story boss battles.

it's a good game but it is definitely not for everybody.
I learned that wolves hunt in packs.
Wish it focused more on the action instead of the RPG. It's real frustrating to find enemies that are pretty much impossible to damage or stagger because they're too high level, even if they're just reskinned versions of old enemies. Likewise, once you get strong, everything becomes way too much of a joke.
Also you should be able to redistribute the DP you spend on abilities. Really, a lot of things with how classes worked bugged me, because you would need to grind the fuck out of a class to unlock the more interesting things for it, and then would have to spend that universal DP to learn abilities that would make it anything other than mashing. Nevermind that your classes determine the stats you get from level up too, which was also kinda lame.
So I'm booting it up for the first time and I usually play a knight-type character in RPGs.
How viable is that in this?

Pretty good actually, you've got your sword and board that's well balanced and strangely enough more viable than the Warrior which is basically Guts mode. I think Mystic Knight suits what you want since it's the most knight-like class. It's an advanced class though so you'll have to get to the main settlement to get it.

DD is a pretty good port, so it runs even on a toaster. I'm running it on my Athlon X2 2,9 GHz, 250 GTX and 8 gb ram without a problem, it just hitches to 58 fps sometimes.

It's actually pretty well optimised in my experience. I played it on a $1000 generic laptop and never went below 30fps except for when there were heaps of effects on screen.
