I have played the game. The zoom in charge on widowmaker takes no time at all compared to sniper in TF2, and does more damage reletive to character HP for body shots. Widowmaker can 1 shot Tracer with a body shot, Sniper can't do the same to Scout with a much longer charge of time to reach full power on his shot.

Not an argument. Widowmaker is way easier to play than Sniper in general. Because the charge up time is so short for her shots you can easily 2 shot most characters with body shots in the time it would take sniper to charge his shot once.

depends on the class 'role' pretty much every offense ult is basically a kill feed reward, Widows ult is partial team utility to offset how selfish her Playstyle is, Hanzo's is a kill feed because his arrows will not be as easy to shoot compared to widow for the average idiot player. Support ults are all support skills etc.
in lot of ways Hanzo probably illustrates the problem with the ults the best, a good Hanzo doesn't need the dragon in anyway to piss you the fuck off, but the million shitty ones will fire that thing through any random wall and you're gonna get gibbed at least once randomly, which is somehow as irritating.

I don't understand what is there to watch in Overwatch. Game is kinda fun - not to my likings, since skill ceiling is kinda meh and it's really a team based game, but it's okay. Anyway, it brings nothing to a spectators, since gameplay always looks the same on every stream. Why even bother?
The game has no skill ceiling, almost every character has a skill that requires no skill or thought to use, except for maybe Genji, and Widowmaker.
-Mcree's flashbang + fan the hammer = instakill
-Hanzo ult is huge, and kills anything it's path. The only thing bad about it is that everyone can hear when he uses it. His arrows also hit a huge hitbox.
-Mercy requres no aim.
-Both Symmetra and Winton have auto-aim/tracking primary weapons, also Symmetra has turrets
-The dwarf has turrets
-Reinhardt has a giant melee weapon, that you have to look in the general vicinity of an opponent to hit
-Soldier 76's ult is basically aim-bot
-Mcree's ult kills anything in the open after a few seconds
-Pharah and Zarya's missiles have huge hitboxes
-Roadhog's chain + shotgun combo = instakill
-Lucario heals everyone in his vicinity
-Zen only needs to tag enemies and allies, and charge his balls to be effective
-Mei's freeze + Sniper pistol combo = instal-kill. She also can make herself invulnerable and heal at the same time
-Junkrat's explosive's and ult require no thought. He even has martyrdom
-Bastion is a turret that can mow down a tank within seconds, and he also has a moving/jumping tank ult
-Reaper's ult kills anyone in the vicinity

A lot of people want to assert that based on LoL's success. The kicker, however, is that LoL's competitive scene is entirely subsidized by Riot and loses them a fair bit of money of their own admission.
Either you have to generate enough interest in your game to outright support your scene or your game has to be so astronomically successful (like LoL's early years) that you can afford to throw away money on what is essentially an advertising campaign.
I don't see either method viable for Blizzard given that their extremely thrifty CEO won't see the scene as a necessary cost.

Tf2 sniper also has a full charge time of 3.3 seconds compared to widowmaker's 1 second charge time. Furthermore, the tf2 sniper has a 1.5 second delay between shots, whereas widowmaker can shoot very quickly after her initial shot.
The average overwatch character also moves significantly slower than a tf2 character which makes it even easier to hit them, and tank characters are incredibly easy to headshot.
Also, her ultimate charges incredibly fast, and is one of the strongest ultimates in the game.
I'd say that she's too strong right now.

Blizzard have made a lot of noise about how they're putting out a bunch of new content this "season" for free, as in new heroes/maps/game modes etc. Though the only one we know for certain is that there's competitive coming out soon.
I don't see it having the longetivity of TF2 though, simply due to the lack of player driven content currently. That can change, and I think the game will continue to find new audiences as the price inevitably drops. I wouldn't recommend getting it on consoles if you want longevity though, this will be a release slanted towards PC.

Week 2 is when we'll see. I hope it succeeds though, the game is pretty fun. The longer it goes, the easier the transition will be for F2P for them.

There's at least five of us so it's bound to be fun, but with no couch-co op and only muktiplayer for a sixty dollar game seems pretty steep. Idea is when you see a fight going south then you hide in a position where you can hopefully still heal one or two people, that way even if you heal less for a period then you actually get the res off.

I played the beta and it isnt even worth 10 in my book.
bad maps (lots of theme variety, but design is uninspired as fuck)
2 game modes (people say 3 but I never noticed anything different)
low as fuck skill ceiling, game's clearly aimed at casuals, if you have a shred of competitiveness and skill in you, you will get tired pretty fast
poorly designed uninspired game modes (seriously, there's so much you could do to to spice it up)
matches are waaaaaayyyy too fast, tend to leave a sour aftertaste. You try to play more matches to satisfy yourself but you eventually realize that as it is designed, it cannot satisfy you. Now if you are smart you stop playing at this point. if you are a lab rat that pulls the lever for pooorly nutritive pieces of food that will never satisfy you, you keep on playing (the game also uses unlocks to keep you in, seriously, this is a skinner box. the rate of unlocking is purposedly drawn out due to very few content and them wanting to keep you playing like the little bitch you are)
Too many classes are too dependant on the teammates, you can be doing your best but you end up dying due to your team mate stupidity
Although the rock paper scissors idea is there, its terribly unbalanced, theres a few characters that can sweep the majority of the roster unless you hard counter them.
