Team deathmatch is fucking cancer in a team shooter with defined roles.
While the microtransactions are scummy, they're only for cosmetic items you can get just by playing the game, so I don't know the big deal. What's more confusing is that people actually buy them. I guess some people are 100%ers and at that point it would take a while to literally get all of the cosmetics, but I only think one or two costumes/voices are cool per hero, so it will be like... What, a week or two for me to unlock the junk I want playing at a casual rate?
It's 2/3 of the price of a new game. It was advertised as a pretty, casual team shooter, and so far that's what we got. There are worse things people on this board have paid even more than 40 dollars for.

Nope. Just make it a mode where only 1 person can pick each hero. Then it would atleast be decent. It doesn't have to be the main competitive mode but adding that wouldn't ruin anything.
Overwatch also doesn't have anything that id see would dominate a TDM badly character wise. As long as you limit the characters so there aren't teams of 6 Tracer etc.
On console, you have to change the region of your whole console just to change the language for Overwatch. If you have friends/family you have to keep changing your region back for them. This is retarded. I thought PC devs were better than this.

Mei was nerfed. Now enemies can break free from her freeze ray a lot faster. In beta you had enough time to land 2-3 ice spikes to their heads now you barely have time to land 1 before they break the ice and keep moving.

This is the new age of 'gamer'. Underage and driven to only play games with skinner box designs, they'll get bored of core gameplay after only a couple hours unless they're showed with unlocks, progression and rewards as they play.
Closed beta didn't have any progression for a long time, but Blizzard decided to add in the progression system you see in the game now because they knew the majority of their audience needs a skinner box in order to continue playing.
Back in our day, we had fun with the core gameplay and the progression was getting better at the game. Of course, you actually have to put effort into that, which these neo gamers absolutely hate.

Barely any characters have alot to learn where you can out play people on raw ability. If the enemy team isn't retarded no matter how good you are you will largely die to 2 v 1s unless you have a ult.
