You're supposed to try and take them by surprise with Justice from Above, but 80% of the time you're in a group where by the time you hit the "Q" key everybody on your team is dead and there is already a widowmaker and a bastion taking potshots at you.

the three are also right next to each other for comparison
this is important because widowmaker and tracer especially have legs that are anatomically too long, while longer legs are attractive, a neutral t-pose with easy comparison really highlights it
mercy also has a slightly longer torso so that helps with your perception that she has better proportions

Ask someone who played the beta extensively any questions you may have. I'll drop some tips:
>D. Va's ult can easily be avoided by hiding behind a wall. Even if you are right next to the bomb, if there is a wall between it and you it won't hurt.
>D. Va's ult does 1000 damage exactly so a Reinhardt can tank the damage with his shield. Use his charge to take the bomb away from your teammates and then shield yourself from the damage.

She's also a hell of a lot more mobile and if she "dies" she pops out of her mech giving her a second healthbar and a chance to climb back in if her Ultimate is charged. She's squishy then but the pistol does good damage. Plus she has the ability to completely negate incoming projectiles for a time with no need to worry about shieldbreaking.

Some characters are ridiculous. Mei can hold up an objective entirely by herself, and Soldier 76 can keep an aoe heal up permanently. With Torbjorn I was in Molten Core the entire time. Tracer, not being so squishy, can just keep rewinding and harass whole teams.
