Here's a handy tip OP, they don't even have the shield so just keep switching to the one trying to do any mechanics to stop them.

I thought this boss was pretty hard until I realized you could shoot each guardian when they're charging up their homing fireball attack to cancel said attack and make them spit out health and ammo. Then it became a bit of a pushover.
Anyone who had trouble with this game on normal is god awful at video games. End of story.
