Back when I was a kid beating a game was an accomplishment. So, not only would I keep count of how many games I had beaten, but I'd count how many times I beat each one. I recall the number of times I had beaten Aladdin for the SNES being stupidly high, I really liked that one.
So, I've probably beaten 50+ games released before 2000, and beat them before the year 2000 came around. I was really only limited by the availability of games, only so many kids were trusting enough for game swapping, and I got burned more than a few times doing that.

You kill the hostile aliens commander who, after dealing with the Maiyan remnants, was planning to take (or destroy, it's unclear) earth next. After the fight the place comes crashing down over your head but you are rescued by the Maiyan you originally saved from enemy hands.

You can completely avoid ever getting teleported by Nihilanth by not only staying behind the spikes but you can also shoot bees from the hivearm to trigger the teleportation orbs. If you die while Nihilanth is in his death animation you'll still get auto teleported to the ending while dead, your view will be on the ground the entire time.
